i throw it all together, even if i have 2 loads, half whites, half darks, i'll just do 2 mixed loads instead of 1 white, 1 dark.

i always do warm water, i guess i figured i'd just go in between cold and hot.

khaki shit usually gets washed with whites and like colors. unless it's nasty ass socks that need bleach then i'll do whites only.

sometimes teh khaki shit gets thrown in together with light blues and what not depending on my current arsenal of weekend "going out" clothing.

those light blues etc will get thrown in with darks if need be, but usually i try to make a seperate pile for my red shit because i've had it turn out a diff shade when washed with black/darks.

towels never get washed with clothes, who wants towellint all over their poloz?

/ocd?

So you're gonna spend $10 every two weeks on just washing your clothes (not counting detergent and whatever else you use). I'm investing in my own w/d soon thanks.

i have a maid that comes weekly and does the laundry

she separates whites and colors, and does sheets and towels separately

most of my "outer wear" clothes, like pants and shirts, go to the dry cleaners

anything except tshirts and jeans and household stuff gets picked up by the dry cleaners

then i just throw everything else in the washer all at once

never had a problem with it

lightish colors + whites

darkish colors

most of my clothes (shirts and pants) are neutral colors so the most whites I'd have would be socks and an occational shirt. Not enough to do a whole load with just those.

j/k

I separate darks and lights, as was the tradition of my people before me
I dry them on a clothesline... sucks during the winter

yeah that's kind of great

if I move to NYC I am going to have to find a laundry that does shit for me
cause by then I'll be too important and I'll want to outsource my daily life maintenance to immigrants

now it's just a bad habit ive come into, waiting too goddamned long

essentially there are four loads--colors, whites/greys/khakis unless i'm bleaching something then i'll throw the khakis and greys in with the colors, delicates, towels and sheets. all are washed on cold water except towels and sheets which i wash with hot water.

i dry them on medium/low heat for 20 minutes, and take out sweaters and jeans that I want to finish air drying. then i continue to dry on medium/low heat until dry. i try not to dry my bras in the dryer, but i will sometimes. i dry towels and sheets on high.

then i pray the laundry faerie will show up, fold them all and/or iron and hang them, and put them all away

i usually throw reds in with other stuff if it has been washed before. But dad asked me to clean his house one and i ended up turning all his towels pink. He was pissed and i now seperate them out and only wash them with really dark stuff

I also seperate out my whites from my solid whites that i can bleach

general work clothes go into one load with normal detergent

whites/tans go into another with normal detergent and a scoop of oxy clean

darks/colors go into another with normal detergent

every couple months I do a load of delicates for a small amount of clothes that request it

everything on cold water, low heat drying

class b work shirts and other dress shirts and pants go to the dry cleaners for laundering/pressing

wifey does her own... too many things to keep up with
