for those of you WITH the luxurious espnUa backwards lateral by the ASU QB was touched by a Texas coach before Texas snatched the ball and returned it however many yardsit was ruled an unsportsmanlike conduct foul and ASU got the ball back for 4th down since it was a dead ball fouland just scored a TD yes the ball was still in fair play, the coach was just like "DOOPTIE DOO ILL GRAB IT GUYZ...O WAIT!"[Edited on December 27, 2007 at 9:20 PM. was the ball still on the field?and its on ESPN, not the U[Edited on December 27, 2007 at 9:17 PM. Reason : d]
12/27/2007 9:16:32 PM
i say that, because if you have espnU, you might be watching the state game instead of this game
12/27/2007 9:18:48 PM
so wouldnt they not need the update? since they are watching it already instead of the State game?
12/27/2007 9:19:25 PM
ok i mean WITH the luxurious espnUand they are replaying the play now, and the guy is being slammed by the espn crew and they keep talking about him and are calling him Chris
12/27/2007 9:20:27 PM
it didnt look like he touched it on the one replay I saw
12/27/2007 9:21:02 PM
wow, they aren't gonna let this go...erin andrew sideline investigator
12/27/2007 9:21:11 PM
you all are making a big deal out of this, football players do this all the time, they are competitive, I dont see the big deal, Champ Bailey is a bitch, etc.
12/27/2007 9:22:18 PM
his name is "chris" dude looks depressed as shit!
12/27/2007 9:22:19 PM
im laughing at the likelihood that ESPN has named this guy Chris and 1000s of people are probably stalking the texas coaching staff webpage right now

^^^ THIS WASN'T YOUR NORMAL RUN OF THE MILL BLUNDER...DO YOU THINK A MANAGER FOR USC OR FLORIDA WOULD DO THAT? IT IS DIFFERENT[Edited on December 27, 2007 at 9:24 PM. Reason : ]
12/27/2007 9:24:43 PM
it is a big deal because it was pretty much a 14-pt turnaround
12/27/2007 9:25:45 PM
this is nothing, the media wont even talk about it, happens all the time, manning sucks, brady rules, etc.
12/27/2007 9:25:58 PM
it will be a topic on both ATH and PTI tomorrow, probably the first one they talk about
12/27/2007 9:26:35 PM
YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT...THE MANAGER DOES NOT USUALLY PICK UP THOSE KIND OF BALLS, ONLY DEAD BALLS...THIS IS VERY DIFFERENT
12/27/2007 9:26:58 PM
ahahmack brown's stepsondoes espn want this guy to be assassinated or something
12/27/2007 9:28:11 PM
na, happens all the time, if you played football you would know, hes done that for years, he did that against maryland back in the day, etc.
12/27/2007 9:28:12 PM
yea but those were all dead balls...this ball MUST have said something to him before the game...didn't you see all the other guys that wanted to pick it up as well...there something that we don't know
12/27/2007 9:30:53 PM
naaa, Manning hasn't won multiple superbowls, Tennessee sucks, this isnt news at all, this is an NC State board, State plays in a vacuum, no other teams exist
12/27/2007 9:32:22 PM
i am so confused at this thread and i made it
12/27/2007 9:33:26 PM
lol
12/27/2007 9:33:41 PM
anything that makes dude touching the ball look bad will be denied by me, it never happened, I refuse to acknowledge it existence
12/27/2007 9:34:28 PM
that ball was used at a state game this season...trust me...that ball is a talker
12/27/2007 9:36:28 PM
Mack Brown looks like a transvestite tonight... fucking lipstick?
12/27/2007 10:06:06 PM
i thought this thread was about that guy who ruined it for the Cubs.
12/27/2007 10:07:21 PM

can you assess penalties after a video review? I didn't think you could, otherwise, you could call PI on certain plays. I'd figured the best they could do is replay the down.
12/28/2007 9:09:22 AM
yet another thread ruined by Jaybee1200
12/28/2007 9:59:14 AM

12/28/2007 11:19:10 AM
the fact that that moron was even on the field and near the ball was fucking patheticif i was dennis ericson i'd tell one of my linebackers to accidentally knock his fucking head off...piss poor bullshit, regardless of the outcome...no fucking excuse for that douchebag to be 3 yards on the field in the first place, no fucking excusei don't think it matters if he touched it or not...he shouldn't have even been close enough to where it would be an issue]
12/28/2007 11:22:47 AM
well he thought it was a forward pass and was pushing for it to be called intentional grounding. Was probably picking it up to make the ref more likely to hear what he was saying. But he wasn't the only one on the field. Looking at about 1:52 into the espn clip it looks like there are atleast 6 people completely on the field.[Edited on December 28, 2007 at 12:40 PM. Reason : ]
12/28/2007 12:38:39 PM
yeah but NONE OF THEM should've been on the field, and if they were slightly overflowing on the sidelines, as soon as they saw the ball coming towards them, they should back up, NOT REACH FOR THE LIVE BALL!!!there is absolutely zero, i repeat ZERO reason for that guy to make an effort to even consider EVER touching a live ball in play, EVERand to top it all off the jackass is laughing and smiling about it on the sideline...pathetickeeping in mind that this is a LIVE ball and the person/people on the field pictured are NOT PLAYERS OR REFEREES, this is just inexcusable and all fucked up...i mean look how far away from the sideline the ball is...its not like he's standing out of bounds and reaching...both of his feet are in bounds...i bet in college or pro basketball whoever touched the ball would be ejected from the gameand i'm not a Texas fan or Arizona State fan and I didn't bet on this game...but when I saw it last night I couldn't believe it]
12/28/2007 12:52:01 PM
I like the coach that shoves him away from the ball
