like i mentioned in another thread, there isnt one better place than the other, unless you goto some run down nigger shop.

they will all align the same.

I agree with Diggler, Brad Moyer at The Digital Chassis does very well, 919-384-7070

Obviously you've never worked in a shop before. Not only does the machine make a huge difference, but having someone who knows how to use it is just as important. So I HIGHLY disagree with your statement......

lol

ive worked in a shop for almost 10 years. a shop with alignment machine for about 4.

now yeah i agree that if you have a numbskull then yes, its gonna turn out bad.

i can goto 10 shops and they will probably be very similar.

and with the machine, yes you can easily see if its a junky one that you use a sledge hammer with, or a nicer one.

but i stand with my comment on you can goto just about any shop and get it done.

but im not against people giving out a good shop name though. just dont kill yourself searching for a shop. im pretty sure the one you end up at will do a decent enough job for a road car.

Gowers Brake and Alignment on South Saunders..... they are good and cheap, i went there based on a old thread about this on here.

Only like $49 if I can remember. They will do you right.

digital chassis is overkill unless you're bringing in a race car

thats why it really doesnt matter where you go for alignment for a street driven econobox (everyones car in here).
and i may just put some money down that anywhere you go will do a decent job for a road car.

So its overkill to make sure your alignment is done perfect? He'll align anything you bring him........but I can assure you the large amount of his business is on daily driven cars.

I still say you are an idiot if you take your car just anywhere.

its overkill to schedule an alignment 2 weeks out, then pay twice as much as you could get it for at some random place up the street, yes.

that is not to say that i wouldnt take a car to him if i wanted it corner balanced and aligned to my specs. but as long as it is in the manufacturers spec, its not really going to make a noticable difference on the street.

Digital Chassis does a great job, but the OP needs to let us know what car this is and what for. $130 to get a Camry aligned is retarded.

yea, it's not a special car or anything. just my gf's 94 honda accord. Also, how do I know whether the car needs a 2 wheel alignment or all 4 wheels?

All 4. All 4 are adjustable, and you need to establish proper thrust line. If the back ones are out, you aren't really doing shit when you set the fronts only...because camber and toe could be out on the back, and the net thrust line could even be out of whack in relation to the chassis, resulting in about jack shit difference. This would be different if you had a solid rear axle on leaf springs. The relationship would be damn near impossible to change.

I still say it's best to set up any vehicle (even ones with solid rear axles and leafs) with all 4 heads on the machine...just to make sure that the fronts are set at the best possible settings with relation to the rear wheels and the chassis.

BTW, on a '94 Honda Accord, you'd be a shithead to pay two arms and three legs for an alignment. The only thing adjustable on the front is toe, and all suspension bushings are rubber, which has enough compliance to effectively nix the benefits of going to Digital Chassis. Same with the back. You might be able to get some camber adjustment in there on the back, but I think only one pair of the control arms has adjustment. Go to a reputable shop like Gower's or somewhere that you know they don't have a total fucktard running the machine. The new Hunter optical machines are easy as hell to set up and don't require running any cables or cords, etc. Just mount the reflector heads (being careful to seat them properly on the rims), do runout calibrations, choose your vehicle from the menu and go.

And damn near any negro can set the toe and let'er go.
