Does anybody know of a good, not-too-expensive way to increase one's vertical? I was looking at Air Alert, but I hear it's bad for your knees. Any suggestions?

at this point in life do you really need to worry about your vertical leap?

pick a reasonable spot on a wall at the gym or court and jump to touch it 20-25 times in a row. do a couple sets of those, do some squats, lunges, calf raises, etc... i think you know the answer already, you're just too lazy to do it.... or you're not black

lose weight?

as opposed to horizontal jumps
12/25/2007 6:28:30 PM
long jump, duh ^
12/25/2007 6:29:11 PM
its still vertical
12/25/2007 6:30:10 PM
tru, but for the purposes of distinction, we refer to that as a horizontal jump.
12/25/2007 6:30:47 PM
ah i always called that a long jumpand vertical jumps, just jumping
12/25/2007 6:31:35 PM
in the world of blacks we distinguish the two types of jumps by different names.the long jump is obviously referring to the horizontal jump (such as a track competition)whereas the cop jump blatantly refers to the vertical jump (such as jumping over a fence while running from a cop)
