my cat just died today - no joke

we have two, one who is super personable and the other who is a freakin maniac, the "cool one" died, so the other one has just been wailing all damn day

I have 3 cats.

1. Too needy. Company loves him. He drives us crazy.
2. Hides from strangers. We love him. Perfect companion kitty.
3. Hyperactive nut job. Violently reacts to being picked up. Does not want to be pet on your terms. Fun to watch, lethal to cuddle.

Cats that won't let you pet are annoying, but only because I make sure any cat I own will let me do anything to it.

The parents cat can be bathed by a single person without any restraint devices, walks on a leash, and will let you scrape his teeth (I've shocked vets with this one, because he's a little bitch for them and they have no idea how I can clean his teeth).

The boyfriend's cats will be getting dental cleanings and leash trained within a year of moving in with me. Baths I am just too lazy to care about unless they have dandruff.

yeah, I posted about this in the thinking thread... I'll post pics of my wounds from petting a cat later. Basically this cat will only let you touch it while you're in bed.. he jumps on the bed is rubbing his tail in my face and purring, I rub him for a while and a few minutes later he randomly goes ape shit on me. This is the second or third time it's happened. I really fucking hate cats

usually the more neurotic or the less manners the cat has, the more my household enjoys them. that's probably one reason that our cat: "everyone else's perfect cat" (sweet, cute, cuddly, adoring, will let you do anything in the world to it) annoys the heck out of me.
