I have a bad cough, but I also have an interview this afternoon. I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate me showing up and hacking all over the place. Under other circumstances I would ask to reschedule. But I can't reschedule because I'll be out of town all of next week (the only times available for everyone to meet other than today were next week). So I need something that will work well without making me drowsy or anything like that. I don't get sick all that often and don't usually take over the counter medicine so I'm not really sure what works well and what doesn't.I only have a cough, no other symptoms.

Theres this great chinese medicine I use when I get a persistent cough. I've tried many others but this does work. Let me see if I can get the info.

would hurricane spray (benzocaine) be effective as a short term antitussive? (assuming you could get your hands on some)

Penis. In your throat.
12/19/2007 1:57:11 AM
Depends on if it's from your throat or from your lungs. A throat cough may be resolved by something that numbs it up like Duke's Magic Mouthwash or a throat spray. From your lungs, go get a doctor to prescribe something.
