sorry, its just supply/demand, i knew the wolf web was a long shot since not many people on here have kids who def want this by christmas, and those who want it for themselves can easily wait a little or campout like I did to get it, yet I posted it anyway for the lazy and/or rich
12/17/2007 11:27:48 AM
yah, should have put it on CL or even ebay.last week ebay had 20 cent listing fees. but probably restrictions too
12/17/2007 11:28:40 AM
i did put it on CL and TWW, I just rather do something local than going through the hassel of having to ship something during the holiday season. If it doesn't sell in the next couple days, ill resort to eBay, but I really don't see that being a problem
12/17/2007 11:48:54 AM
haha. you don't have to campout to get one.
12/17/2007 12:25:56 PM
make sure you charge bank in shipping if you sell it on eBay!
12/17/2007 12:35:50 PM
walmart had a ton of them a week ago, not so sure about now

Hahaha... I just watched the closing Ebay bids for the Wii for about 2 minutes. Sadly, wording is everything. One console advertised in the title that it came with 14 games (i.e. wii sports & wii play)... bid spiked to $485 right at the end. Another console simply said "Nintendo Wii"... closed out at $325 for the exact same thing. Playing the market now is hard... hope the projected shortage really starts to shine through as we creep closer to Christmas (as it should)-- you'll definitely sell for $450 on Craigslist if it does.

capitalism*sigh*

I just sold my Wii on ebay (used) with 2 controllers+nunchucks, 512 meg memory card, plus paper Mario, Big Brain Academy, Rayman, Cars, and Mario Party for $425+shipping. These things are still selling high. I have been using mine for about 8 months.

PS nintendo is now offering free rainchecks for people trying to buy wii's at gamestop locations
12/17/2007 2:26:02 PM
i thought the raincheck program starts friday, and also, you don't get it until january 31st, which doesn't work out good for those trying to get it before christmas...
12/17/2007 4:23:14 PM
that's possible, but either way you still get a wii for 250 plus tax....there's no shortage of idiots who can't stand the thought of not having it under the tree christmas day though, so i'm sure you'll get your $$ out of themno offense to you, as you're merely preying on supply and demand, but it all reminds me of being a little kid and collecting star wars toys, and never being able to find the truly cool vehicles/figures that had come out in stores....all I wanted to do was add them to my growing armies, not display them or resell them greedily, but there was always that asshole who got to toys r us faster than my dad could get me there, and would snatch up all the good stuff, then go resell it for double the price at some toy show...I'm not trying to defend the impatient parents that poorly planned out their shopping and want to have a wii xmas morning (1) they're the ones who are the group willing to pay what people like you are asking, but (2) I can't really blame them for having lives and indecisive kids during the year, not realizing that a year old video game will be the hardest thing to find at xmas - yet still wanting to grant their kids' wish to have it under the tree that morning), but merely just remembering what its like to be that kid who gets shitted on bc of somebody's effort to try to make $$$ above retail good luck though

Honda, hold out man, you'll get the 450 easy on CL, esp if it's NIB. I wouldn't use ebay, you'll lose 5-10% of your sale with ebay and PP fees, and that's if you list it at .01, also, you're already looking at an auction that couldn't be longer than 3 days with regards to Christmas. There's also the chance of some tool running a scam who'll never paypal you, or send you funny money. I'm still not sure why people have a problem with how other people spend their money

Haha, I'm so glad we had one LAST Christmas. Who knew it wouldn't get any better this year?
12/17/2007 6:43:05 PM
i had 2 people call me and offered 450 for the package from CL, i told the 2nd guy no since i had already said yes to somebody and already planned to meet him in about an hour. He pleaded that he would come right now and bring "cold, hard cash." Ends up that the guy I had held it for, didn't show up to get it and didn't pick up his phone when i called him. So i called the 2nd guy, told him what happened, but he had already payed 475 to somebody else for the same package about 30mins prior...Karma...
12/17/2007 6:45:43 PM
sold, went for $450 for those who were interested...
