people who retired before 2003 could be on there, it just wasn't being banned by baseball at that time.
12/13/2007 12:27:01 AM
^ i read somewhere that the list didn't contain players who retired before 2003http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/12/12/mitchell.report.ap/index.htmlsays there are 60-80 players, mvps and all-starsthere are going to be a lot of broken hearts tomorrow
12/13/2007 1:13:35 AM

12/13/2007 1:15:32 AM

Do you think they will suspend the active players that are on this list?I honestly can't wait either, being a Cardinals fan there are a few I think we have to worry about. [Edited on December 13, 2007 at 1:38 AM. Reason : Edmonds needs help for his injuries he always has ]

chipper... i mean, he recovers so quickly from his injuries he must be roiding!
12/13/2007 11:04:23 AM
Mark Prior, non-tendered yesterday.Miguel Tejada, traded yesterday.Jeff Bagwell, gut feeling.
12/13/2007 11:07:42 AM
I read a NY paper saying NO current Mets are on the list... so no Beltran if that is true (which it might not be).I demand the 2000 World Series (unless Piazza is on there). Fucking Pettitte and Clemens, 2 of the 4 pitchers we faced, were illegal...[Edited on December 13, 2007 at 11:09 AM. Reason : x]

there was some discussion today up here in baltimore on talk radio about how crushing it would be if ripken was on the list. he's essentially a god up here, and he's always been a real positive player and face in the community. but because he recovered from injuries so quickly to keep his streak alive, there's been some speculation.

Well...definitely Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, and Barry Bonds. Also, per New York radio, a bunch of Yankees and zero Mets.

I'm really glad Pedro isn't on the list. I made the case with a friend of mine that Pedro was the greatest pitcher who ever lived. He claimed it was Clemens. I based my case on Pedro's W/L percentage and his unbelievable almost sub 1 WHIP as a good indication of just how good he is.

There's already talk that the report is already losing credibility due to the fact that it was headed by a director for the Red Sox and already is known to name several prominent YankeesIt was funny, last night while I was watching ESPN I just happened to see a whole bunch of MLB players scrolling on the bottom line and I was like OH SHIT names have been leaked! Turns out it was just a list of non-tendered free agents [Edited on December 13, 2007 at 11:31 AM. Reason : ]

also Ryan Klesko has GOT to be on there based solely on how much he'd get pissed off and cuss out the umps all the time, or scream and cuss at himself after striking outi think one of the things thats going to surprise the casual fan is how many pitchers are named since the casual fan perspective is still that roids are mostly used to hit homers
