anyone into them? i found one at a field in cary and started to use it a lot now.ive always liked them, ive just never had a chance to get one. where could i get a better one? this one is made out of like compressed cardboard material

apparently they do.you've got to throw it overhand, like throwing a baseball, not side handedi can throw it easier side handed, but it doesnt come back.

i have 2 that were carved from wood in Australia. One of them is pretty big the other one is about 1/2 the size. i've never threw them though...too scared it might break

i have one that looks like the top one in this picturealmost identical in shape & about 17 inches tip to tipand one that looks like the bottom oneabout 15 inches tip to tip

I heard the original use for these were to knock fruits and stuff out of trees and if you missed, then it would come back (obviously). I'd think that branches and stuff would get in the way though.

i can see that, when we were in freeport, we used rocks to knock down the coconuts, then one of our friends decided he would climb the tree.it worked, he got a few out of the deal, but his fee and hands and chest were red from being scratched up
