Dexter is the equivalent of junk food when it comes to television shows.

It can be fun but its nothing solid. So when you claim other shows are junk, it implies that Dexter is a show of great substance. Which it is not.

Hence the

not a show of great substance? You mean like Prison Break? Dexter is one of the most interesting shows i've seen in years in polot and character development. What the hell are you talking about.

Alias has alot of twists and nearly every episode is a cliffhanger. The first two seasons are really good, but it starts to get pretty bad around the 4th.

Stop being stupid. If you think Dexter has character development, you've obviously neglected to watch shows of substance

the last few episodes of dexter season 1 were pretty disappointing and uncreative, i thought. i like the show. but it's not the best show out there or anything.

I don't know what you really want out of a show. The last couple of episodes of season 1 were fantastic.

the whole bit with the across the street neighbor yelling for dexter and him just sitting in the car.

the bit where dexter knows who the killer is but decides to just go at it on his own even though he knew his sister was in trouble. they seriously just didn't think hard enough on that story to make the sister's character more believable. or how to tie up that story line without some very unlikely deus ex machina BS.

Well he notified the rest of the police that he couldn't find his sister. He had no clue where she was, so there really wasn't much more he or they could do at that time. Also, short of outting himself, he couldn't let everyone else know he knew who the Ice Truck Killer was.

I think you are looking too deep, or expecting way to much out of this show.

Seriosly, if you are going to sit here and complain about the woman yelling from across the street, a scene that lasted all of 15seconds, you just need to go find something new to watch.

You are one of, it not the only person that I have come across that is this nitpicky over this show.

you're the one who is claiming that this show is the damn second coming. i think the wire is far more thoughtful and better overall. at least the first season is (i haven't watched the rest yet)

Never said it was the 2nd coming. Its just a great show. Probably one of, if not the best on TV right now. Best ever? Nope.

And did you really have to be so lame and quote something from the post directly above the new post you were making? I mean really.

And no, I haven't seen The Wire. It could be better, I dont know yet. I plan on downloading all the episodes this week and starting on it so I can get caught up to season 5. I have heard only good things about that show.

Only on TWW would people argue about which show is the greatest when someone is simply asking for suggestions...

I think that is going to happen anywhere. Get a group of 10 people together at work, or in a class, start making suggestions about which shows are good to download, and people are going to argue. So stop with this "OMG, ONLY ON TWW WOULD YOU IDIOTS ARGUE OVER SOMETHING LIKE THIS etc...bullshit"

Its going to happen anywhere.

Dexter is an awesome show. Haven't seen the Wire, I believe my sister is getting me season one for Christmas though. Can't we all agree though that there isn't one. That and Twin Peaks I want to see. So, I guess I'll just suggest Twin Peaks since I've heard what an amazing show it is.

agreed... as long as you're talking about 10 kindergarteners.... You can't engage in a discussion where people are offering suggestions without launching into "my dad can beat up your dad"??

No one acts like this at MY workplace...

i guess FanatiK has never seen The Wire cause if so he'd know that this wasn't some kind of "my dad can beat up your dad" but that its simply the best show on television hands down

Just got done downloading The Wire. Will start on it tomorrow. I have most of Twin Peaks on the way.

Anyone know what the deal is with the Twin Peaks movie? Is it in addition to the series, or just a the entire series compacted into a movie?

^^it's a prequel that was made after the fact. make sure you watch the pilot episode as well. oh yeah and you probably shouldn't advertise breaking the law on a public forum.

When does The Wire start getting good? I just finished the first episode and I have to say it is one of the more boring series I have seen. Atleast based on that episode.
