12/6/2007 11:19:04 AM
damn that is harsh
12/6/2007 11:19:18 AM
i would trade the campus at georgia tech that looks nice but with no hot chicks for nc state's red brick and the hot chicks that were therethere isnt anything worth looking at on campus
12/6/2007 11:19:41 AM
The guy who wrote this apparently doesn't like anything brick to begin with, anyway. At least we've got a theme.
12/6/2007 11:21:07 AM
we should just go ahead and brick up the trees
12/6/2007 11:23:04 AM
A) I like the brickB) I went to NCSU to learn how to be an engineer, not to look at the sceneryC) I don't even know what a portico is
12/6/2007 11:23:44 AM
I like the bricks too
12/6/2007 11:24:48 AM
it's not like he's wrong
12/6/2007 11:25:08 AM
i like the bricks too but we do have an architecture school... maybe we should show it?
12/6/2007 11:25:45 AM
12/6/2007 11:26:28 AM
but I like the bricks.
12/6/2007 11:26:40 AM
12/6/2007 11:29:07 AM

THIS THREAD WAS OBVIOUSLY MADE BY A DERD!!!!!
12/6/2007 11:32:39 AM
Centennial Campus actually is very nice looking. And I'm assuming that a portico is some kind of small structure or shelter or something. A rocket scientist does not need to know this.[Edited on December 6, 2007 at 11:38 AM. Reason : a, for fuschsia]
12/6/2007 11:33:47 AM
attn:everyoneit's Centennial
12/6/2007 11:35:31 AM
12/6/2007 11:35:53 AM
I like the brick
12/6/2007 11:39:15 AM
^^for some reason that doesn't look right to me....idk whybut the relation of the tri-towers to harrelson seems off[Edited on December 6, 2007 at 11:40 AM. Reason : just my imagination]
12/6/2007 11:39:23 AM
i wonder how many of those other ugly schools have their entire campus in 3d polygon building format on Google Earthalso lol at Herb Sendek just cause he coached at State (#7) and he went to Carnegie Mellon (#5)
12/6/2007 11:42:55 AM
he's right, too many bricks, but what else is there, sticks, rocks?
12/6/2007 11:44:32 AM
But now he's at ASU, where the campus could be the nicest in the word or look like complete dogshitand no one would notice because of the endless parade of georgeous girls
12/6/2007 11:45:22 AM
plus there is a lot of marijuana near
12/6/2007 11:47:15 AM
I thought this thread was about how looking the girls are.
12/6/2007 11:47:17 AM
but the sun is brighter in arizona and you cant see any hot chicks...all you see is a huge bright white glare where the sun shines off his dome
12/6/2007 11:47:19 AM
haha, whenever someone who hasnt been to state asks me about state, i tell them its nothing but bricks & squirrels & they always reply that all campuses have tons of bricki then have to send them pics of campus to show them that theres a difference between lots of brick & the state campus which is nothing but brick
12/6/2007 11:47:41 AM
UNC Asheville is rather prettyfrom the library steps you can watch the sun set behind a mountainnight before last the sunset was blood red... a crowd gathered to watch in spite of the cold
12/6/2007 11:57:04 AM
i think UMass Amherst (#2 on that list) looks alright with a nice mountain backdrop and everything...surprised it was that high on that list but i've never seen it in person
12/6/2007 12:05:49 PM
i never stop hearing about how great ASU isanyone want to go on a road trip before I get too old?
12/6/2007 12:12:03 PM
State's campus would look 10x better if they hadn't felt the need to put roads and parking spaces EVERYWHERE. I really think that's one of the difference between State and UNC....Carolina has grassy quads. We have roads going everywhere and way too much on-campus parking. You can have convenience (park right next to the building, at least if you're faculty) or you can have scenery (a very large percentage of folks at UNC have to use park-and-rides). Pick one.Their buildings aren't that much prettier than ours. It's the landscaping and the roads that make a difference.
12/6/2007 1:56:36 PM
Nobody talks about my school like that.... NO BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!
12/6/2007 2:02:13 PM
the engineering area of campus is ugly as sin - it was downright depressinghas all of it moved to centennial yet?
12/6/2007 2:04:10 PM
12/6/2007 2:09:42 PM
These people obviously never went to Richard Stockton State College in NJIt is easily the ugliest college I have ever been to. Its like an airport terminal with an old 70's paint scheme. The rec center is a square corrugated steel warehouse building. UGH
12/6/2007 2:26:52 PM
I grew up 5 minutes from Stockton. Why the hell were you there? Stockton was trying to do a modernist thing back in the day. That's why it looks old and industrial now.[Edited on December 6, 2007 at 2:32 PM. Reason : +]

Psh it really depends on when you're on state campus. Late fall and in winter sure, but summer and spring the campus has some fairly beautiful areas.
12/10/2007 10:11:55 PM
12/10/2007 10:12:09 PM
these always come out, and it's always evident that these people did not go to east campus. i guess that's fair, since most of us don't have classes out there... but it is there.[Edited on December 10, 2007 at 10:16 PM. Reason : and it's great looking]
12/10/2007 10:15:50 PM
fuck that gay websiteI love our campus and there is nothing wrong with it. If you want grass, go live with the fags over the hill.
12/10/2007 10:16:51 PM
12/10/2007 10:19:37 PM
^ you're right that the whole city uses it. you're wrong that busses take 15 minutes to navigate it. i take one everyday.
12/10/2007 10:20:46 PM
12/10/2007 10:21:05 PM
i've always said to people who tell me state's campus is ugly:"i didn't come to college to take pictures"to UNC kids who told me state's campus is ugly:"enjoy your pretty campus. i hope the starbucks you work in 4 years from now is pretty too."those two usually cut the smartass comments short[Edited on December 10, 2007 at 10:24 PM.
