revoke the driver's license of someone who provides alcohol to a minormakes sense, because driving is 100% coorelated to buying beer for underage people. This is like taking someones hunting license because they were speeding.
11/30/2007 11:30:32 AM
^^^ Lots of states have that law.
11/30/2007 11:31:51 AM
it called a deterrent
11/30/2007 11:32:41 AM
^^^just don't do something that's illegal in the first place and you won't have to worry about it...
11/30/2007 11:36:05 AM
bullshit - the punishment should fit the crimeif you are driving wrecklessly or under the influence, by all means taking and/or limiting driving priviledges is an apt punishmentbut if you buying beer for someone underage, how in the fuck does that relate in any way to your driving ability or safety on the road?maybe a fine or some community service related to alcohol abuse, but wtf

what does giving a beer to my 20 year old friend have to do with my ability to drive???
11/30/2007 11:50:54 AM
11/30/2007 11:55:04 AM
most of these are pretty reasonable... but one stands out in my mind. why the hell would the lawmakers create this law
11/30/2007 12:11:50 PM
^ I was thinking the same thing.
11/30/2007 12:32:22 PM
11/30/2007 12:36:42 PM

RAWR RAWR RAWRKING DOUCHEBAG HERENEW LAWS?!?! HOW DARE THEY!TIME TO BREAK 'EM!
11/30/2007 12:38:20 PM
And don't forget that if you're caught going 25mph+ over the speed limit, you can no longer get it dropped for improper equipment or use a prayer for judgement. I expect a shitton of threads in the next month or so.
11/30/2007 12:41:58 PM
^ Thats just gonna flood the court with people taking them to trial. Either that or the DA is going to reduce the charge to avoid having a yearlong backlog of people challenging their speeding tickets.
11/30/2007 12:45:11 PM
Then I guess my church is gonna have to up the pay for our pastors, we got to pay for a driver, they give alcohol to minors every sunday!!! [Edited on November 30, 2007 at 1:39 PM. Reason : I wonder if laws will ever prohibit minors from participating in communion..]

I can see the thing for a seeing eye dog, but if its a felony for a person to kill a police dog it should also be a felony for a cop to kill a persons dog. naaaa'mean?
11/30/2007 2:12:44 PM
so what if some random dog attacks you and you kill it and it turns out to be a police dogi hope thats still self defense

11/30/2007 2:46:10 PM
11/30/2007 2:49:36 PM
who would do this
11/30/2007 2:59:28 PM
Did you guys know a drinking ticket is the highest grade of misdemeanor? Starving a puppy was less of a crime until now.
11/30/2007 3:11:05 PM
11/30/2007 3:26:09 PM
What's funny is some legislators thought that law was a bad idea. Well what the fuck are you gonna do when you are at a light and it won't turn green.

^^I thought that was only if they are of "pure enough blood"and not citizensand only while on reservationsiow, why should non-natives be "prohibited" from changing to native religions?that is, if they changed, why wouldn't they be considered by law as full members?you can change your religion to catholic and then drink wine underage, right?in fact, you wouldn't even have to change, you could walk in during mass and get in line for itlegal [ceremonial] peyote being only for racially "pure" natives is really racist bullshit if you think about itwhat other [extant] laws only give rights to pure members of a particular race?[/not 100% sure I'm right about this]

I think it's still technically illegal to use garbage disposals in the state too, but they keep building houses with them.
