^x5 AFC has changed a lot. They've made the computer lab smaller and it's by no means quiet. There's usually a bunch of people in the lounge playing video games and making noise.[Edited on November 28, 2007 at 5:12 PM. Reason : .]
11/28/2007 5:11:31 PM
i went like 3 weeks ago and the lab looked the same size
11/28/2007 5:12:34 PM
Yeah, you're better off studying at home with the TV and radio on rather than going to the library this time of the semester. It sucks.
11/28/2007 5:13:39 PM
AFC is a little smaller. They took out all the Unix computers from last year and moved all the Windows machines over to make room for a new office they put in near the front entrance. It's not really any smaller, they just took out all the Unix machines that no one used anyway. The area with the vending machines is hit or miss. If there's no black girls in there it's actually pretty nice.

just go to the top of the library its not that bad or if you get desperate, caldwell lounge
11/28/2007 5:31:17 PM
^those tables in the open area get awful loud.found a nice corner at DH tonight, think i'll settle down here.thanks for all the PMs though, i'll definitely hit those places up when the time comes.[Edited on November 28, 2007 at 6:06 PM. Reason : ]

Are rooms at Harrelson open late?i just need a quiet place with tables and an outlet
12/10/2007 7:08:39 PM

12/10/2007 7:10:09 PM

12/10/2007 7:10:55 PM

12/10/2007 7:13:50 PM
i get distracted there, and i need to study with other kids in my class.
12/10/2007 7:14:52 PM
you have kids in your classes?
12/10/2007 7:17:30 PM

12/10/2007 7:21:56 PM
my roomie used to have access to mann hall's comp lab, i used to go there when it gets crowded in the library.
12/10/2007 8:11:12 PM
Just go up to the 6th or 7th floor stacks. I had to study up there because I was easily distractable in the busy parts and in the apartment... Now I can study anywhere thank God...
12/10/2007 8:27:26 PM
5th floor stacks is where i spent many hours
12/10/2007 10:25:26 PM
6th floor stacks what what
12/10/2007 10:29:28 PM
you can study in the library if you go to one of the high floors in the corners. no one talks. and if they do you just tell them to take it somewhere else.
12/10/2007 10:34:50 PM
my freshmen year me and my bestfriend would put two of those desks corner to corner and our backs against the wall and block our selfs out from the rest of the world, every now and then the security guard would come by to make sure we were okay, but other than that it allowed for a very quiet distraction free time.
12/10/2007 10:35:08 PM
genius^
12/10/2007 11:12:59 PM
yeah, I stay away from the main areas of the library when I'm trying to study, and lately even the top of the stacks (7-9) seem to be consistantly crowded. I've moved down to the middle of the stack.
12/10/2007 11:33:08 PM
might've already been said, but third floor (i think) of fox is usually pretty good[Edited on December 10, 2007 at 11:59 PM. Reason : nvm, you said 24 hrs.]
