^^Uh yeah
11/28/2007 4:34:19 PM
wouldn't that be beautiful? We never get to play against Ted Roof, then spurrier comes in here and then we'll have to start playing them annually.
11/28/2007 4:34:44 PM
lol. either way, we get to beat his ass next year. or at least try to.
11/28/2007 4:37:30 PM
the truth is, that man hates UNC so much, he might just pull the trigger....I WISH
11/28/2007 4:38:09 PM
it does seem rather unfair lately that the coastal division gets an automatic ACC win with Duke on their schedule. Atlantic doesnt have a team like that... (dont u even think about saying State..)
11/28/2007 4:38:40 PM
we can't play ourselves, so that's true.
11/28/2007 4:39:26 PM
well, we were 0-5 in the division this yearand if it weren't for miracle wins against bc and fsu last year, we would be 0-10 in the past two years
11/28/2007 4:41:55 PM
spurrier wouldn't even think about going there unless they loosened their admissions standards....I doubt you could pick a dozen players from his Florida and USC teams that could legitimately get into Duke.
11/28/2007 4:42:35 PM
^ TOUCHE.
11/28/2007 4:43:35 PM
good pointdidn't he have a run-in with the administration at USC over admitting retards?
11/28/2007 4:43:41 PM

Coach K does it why can't Goldsmith, Franks, Roof, etc. do it????I mean William Avery couldn't read and write.
11/28/2007 4:47:44 PM
^it takes one or two impact players in Bball to be competitive, but many more for a competitive football team.plus, K's a god there, he could probably get a chimp admitted if he wanted too.
11/28/2007 4:51:51 PM
wait, did duke up there admission standards after 1989 or something?
11/28/2007 6:27:03 PM
florida states best player is a smartie. i remember during the clemson game they were tlaking about how he was upset because he got his first b of his life on an organic chemistry test.
11/28/2007 6:37:13 PM
^ I doubt it. Everyone else in Div I has definetly lowered theirs though.
11/28/2007 6:38:08 PM
^Are you kidding me? It's tough for any era to top the 1980s in low admissions standards. The only requirement that I can specifically think of that went "down" was the adoption of the sliding scale that effectively eliminated the minimum SAT. About 3-4 years ago the NCAA eliminated the minimum SAT in favor of a sliding scale which allows very low SAT scores if the student has a very high GPA. UNC system admissions standards have increased significantly.

Spurrier hasn't been a successful football coach in a long, long time
12/25/2007 11:51:41 AM
so that time at florida must have been a bust then?
