i love "o holy night" sung by just about any choir. a lot of the r&b/crooner christmas renditions are really good too. but generally i get so inundated by christmas music just walking around anywhere in the months of november and december, i don't go out of my way to play any.

I don't care how many people Phil Spector killed...he's still a genius, and "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is fucking brilliant beyond belief, especially considering it was Phil's idea to take Ronnie off the lead vocal and bring in Darlene Love.

Regardless, Phil ruined "Let It Be" by simply not letting it be.I'm partial to Mannheim Steamroller. back off, it was what I grew up on and its nostalgic. Been trying to find some more stuff though. Just got Frank Sinatra Christmas, but I definitely need to find that Rat Pack Christmas album.

Built to Spill do a really good version of "Linus & Lucy."Holy shit, I just realized that the writers' strike means there might not be a Darlene Love performance on Letterman this year. [Edited on November 28, 2007 at 3:06 PM. Reason : it's christmas time in hollis, queens]

This is the only Christmas album I will listen to, although it does seem a bit weird now (how's this for a Christmas gift: a gunshot wound in the face). Anyway, a friend of mine pointed me to this page the other day. I have not heard the song in question (and do not want to), but just read through these reviews. Some of them are great. http://www.amazon.com/review/product/B00005QD8C/ref=cm_cr_dp_all_helpful?%5Fencoding=UTF8&coliid=&showViewpoints=1&colid=&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending
