i still am curious. the diamond logo on the band unis. is that still an official nc state logo? i thought it was retired. and if so, can the band not afford new unis?


personally i still think its the best logo we have/had and wish we'd use it more.

The band uses the diamond logo because they can't afford new uniforms. I think they're trying to raise money for new ones currently.

It's true the band can't afford new unis, but the diamond logo was used by the marching band before Coach Sheridan adopted it for the football team.

The band is getting new uniforms next year. The cost is in the ball park of $180,000. They are replaced every 7-10 years, depending on funding.
The Diamond State logo is long gone, and the new uniforms will carry the block state. They are also made of a much nicer light weight material, compared to the current ones which are wool.
