If anyone has an extra incubator, I need one. I believe one of my cockatiels is pregnant.

birds don't get "pregnant"But tiel females will lay eggs even w/out a male around. Mine did it all the time since she thought I was her "mate."Talk to "Sonia." I know she has a ton of cockatiels and one of hers paired up and had a baby that she raised.[Edited on November 25, 2007 at 10:54 PM. Reason : ..]

ahah I didnt know I even said that, weird - but as large as my female is, I'm sure shes gonna lay eggs pretty soon and the male has been romping her daily, so theres a high possibility

why not just give her a nesting box and let her try to raise them? Unless you want 100% insurance that you'll get babies.

It would be easiest to let her incubate the egg. If your set on incubating them yourself, you can make one fairly easily or you can pick up a hovabator for about $40. If you need help making one, just PM me.

I did give her a nesting box - but the thing is, her and her mate have been eating it because its made of wood, so its now in pieces.

Try a different material then because hand raising chicks is A LOT of work. My grandmother hand raised several cockatiels and it is very demanding.
