I already received workers comp for a shoulder injury on mine in 2005. When I left my doctor was telling me that my injury is covered for a couple of years or so if it relapses or acts up. I haven't had any problems but an random should spaz here and there. Well 3 days ago out of no where my shoulder stiffens up and its continuing to get worse back to where it was when it was injured.
Does any one know more about this? All my paper work if I still even have it is across the country so I don't know who to contact to find out.

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, how did you hurt your shoulder?

I don't want to take anyone to court over it, i just want to get in to get it taken care of.

and it was a hyper-extension I believe, i dunno the medical terms, but I can only lift my shoulder up to a 90 degree angle no more because then it hurts. It hurts and it sucks to sleep and dress and get ready in the mornings.

The link above has a blog, where you can ask questions to the three lawyers who work there. Or you can call and talk to the New Client Coordinator, you can ask her questions, and she'll relay them to one of the lawyers. They monitor the website often. It's a very good resource for questions you need real answers to.

Not all lawyers want to go to court either.

by law you have up to 2 years after the doctor gave you your mmi (maximum medical improvement) rating to have the injury covered under w.c. unless you had the doctor fill out a form stating that he expects you will continue to have problems and possibly need additional surgery later in life which is directly related to the original injury. if you didn't have him fill this form out (they usually don't volunteer this info due to liability reasons) then you're screwed if it's been over 2 years.
