Gssp is the shit, no tuition owed via tuition waiver, free healthcare, 16,000 dollar stipend for teaching and research.

hmmm

that GSSP thing looks pretty sweet.

might consider that for grad school. i want to either get a masters or a doctorate in chemistry before i go on to med school. just because i can.

how would i apply for such a thing?

When you get accepted (at least in CALS/CVM) you are automatically on the GSSP, if you have an assistantship (RA or TA). Some departments have different stipend levels but you still get the health insurance tuition and free candy on Tuesdays

what do you think i do right now

i do that a) because i love it, and b) it looks exceptional on med school applications

considering i make exactly $0 from that right now, no.

full time medics make around 30k/year

trauma surgeons make around 250k/year.

plus i love surgery.

^X6 Don't tell them you want a masters only, lie and say u want a phd then stop after the masters. A bunch of programs won't fund you unless you're doing the 4 to 7 year deal for the phd.

our candy is very limited, It's only free cause thats when the secretary fills her jar. Then you have to think of small talk to make it look like you didn't come in for candy...it can be awkward at times

Give up on med school and go for a PA or NP....less school, more fun, no license to be revoked

PAs and NPs don't get to cut people open and reattach limbs and whatnot, though.

fafsa didn't give me shit except for a $300 grant and a $250 stafford loan, my parents make too much

got a couple of random academic scholarships each around $500 - $1000 on my own

evan where are you finding this to copy and paste?

these are the only potential things i can copy/paste:

Quote :
"You owe 2,558.50. For the breakdown, access Charges Due
Due Now
2,558.50
Future Due
0.00"

Quote :
"2008 Spring Term 2,558.50 2,558.50
Total 2,558.50 2,558.50

Currency used is US Dollar.

"

Quote :
"11/03/2007 Ed & Tech Fee 2008 Spring Term 177.00
11/03/2007 Fees 2008 Spring Term 499.00
11/03/2007 Fees 2008 Spring Term 2.50
11/03/2007 In-State Tuition 2008 Spring Term 1,880.00 "

Quote :
"Due Date Due Amount Running Total
12/11/2007 2,558.50 2,558.50"

^^Click on the eBill link right below all of that information. It'll take you to the eBill page, and that will have the financial aid information.
