11/20/2007 7:24:46 AM
being out of college debt free is probably one of the most underrated things ever.
11/20/2007 7:32:37 AM
God bless America.

Gssp is the shit, no tuition owed via tuition waiver, free healthcare, 16,000 dollar stipend for teaching and research.[Edited on November 20, 2007 at 7:42 AM. Reason : .]

don't forget the pens, and printer paper....o and the opportunity to teach the wonderful undergrads of NCSU (I actually do like teaching)
11/20/2007 7:43:28 AM
hmmmthat GSSP thing looks pretty sweet.might consider that for grad school. i want to either get a masters or a doctorate in chemistry before i go on to med school. just because i can.how would i apply for such a thing?
11/20/2007 7:46:35 AM
When you get accepted (at least in CALS/CVM) you are automatically on the GSSP, if you have an assistantship (RA or TA). Some departments have different stipend levels but you still get the health insurance tuition and free candy on Tuesdays
11/20/2007 7:49:15 AM

^X6 Don't tell them you want a masters only, lie and say u want a phd then stop after the masters. A bunch of programs won't fund you unless you're doing the 4 to 7 year deal for the phd.[Edited on November 20, 2007 at 7:54 AM. Reason : .]

our candy is very limited, It's only free cause thats when the secretary fills her jar. Then you have to think of small talk to make it look like you didn't come in for candy...it can be awkward at timesGive up on med school and go for a PA or NP....less school, more fun, no license to be revoked

PA's have to be licensed artard
