i absolutely hate that the holidays seem to start earlier and earlier every year but we bought our first xmas tree yesterday and we had it for a whole day before my complete lack of patience took over and up it went earlier tonight - not done decorating it but more or less

My Mom used to always put bells around the bottom of the tree "because Santa can hear the bells, she can hear the bells, and we'd be really unhappy on Christmas day if either one heard either of us messing under the tree". Funny thing is, I still believe this and she still does it to our tree even though I am the youngest!
