So, how much of your bi-weekly paycheck goes toward:

NC gas tax
Fed gas tax
NC sales tax
Fed sales tax
Prepared food tax
etc.

They take a percentage of every transaction that takes place. It's not just the $300.

I'm just waiting for the day where your paycheck just goes direct deposit into the US treasury and the government decides how much you should get back to support yourself. Thank goodness for state and local governments. You know they wouldn't stand for the Feds completely tapping out their revenue sources like that.
