so why don't more girls learn?

I LOVE cooking, but I don't cook well.

I've scored many a relationship, just b/c of not being able to cook and making conversation during.

Also, why don't more guys know how to cook?

I enjoy cooking. Breakfast is my specialty. I make a killer omelette, but I've been doing pretty well on pancakes lately. I used to tell girls I was involved with that if they stayed the night, I'd make them an omelette in the morning.

Less and less women cook these days. I think its sad. My mom can cook up some serious stuff. My girlfriend can cook pasta and barely cook some eggs. I think it sucks.

My brother and I both know how to cook. Our mother and grandmother took both of us in hand and made sure that we knew how. I consider myself to be a good cook and my brother is amazingly creative in the kitchen and comes up with the best tasting stuff.

My husband doesn't even have the basics down. He's pitiful in the kitchen.

I don't consider myself to be a good cook, but I can take care of myself. I mostly run the grill, use the slow cooker, make a few baked dishes, or whip up stuff like biscuits or pancakes from the bisquick powder. It is sad if you can't cook enough to have a somewhat varying diet on your on.

I hate cooking and have no interest in it. I can prepare sandwiches(lol), whip up stuff in boxes or cans, make a mean bowl of cereal but when it comes to throwing stuff in a pan with some spices I ruin it.

One time I made pancakes for my brother and sister and the outside was black/burnt to a crisp, but the inside was gooey and nasty.

Another time I made pizza and left it in there a little too long, told my sister's friend that the cheese was supposed to look like that.

I'm up for learning but slaving away over a hot burner hoping it turns out alright while making a huge mess just to have to clean up afterwards does not seem fun! I do help the bf though, he likes to cook, nothing extravagant but whatever.

That's such a simple thing to fix. Now that you've done it once it should be easy. Just don't turn the heat up so high. The same thing can happen to hamburgers...They'll be black on the outside and red in the middle.

One of the first things to learn is that you don't always turn the burner on full blast. You gotta be patient and let it cook on a lower heat. That way it cooks throughout.

You're making it seem harder than it is.

i love cooking. i just dont have anyone to cook for so i never do it.
ill be honest though, im a much better baker then i am a cooker in some categories. im pretty good with italian and greek and some homestyle stuff. . but i suck at good ol' southern cooking.

cant wait for about 8-10 years when ill have someone else in the house hopefully to come home to a nice meal everyday

I didn't eat mammal for over 15 years, and didn't eat any meat for 5 of those years

that decision, which my parents initially incorrectly regarded as a fad, contributed to my interest in cooking

cooking meat is good, but so overplayed and over-emphasized that it is boring and old (except seafood & bugs)

I prefer international gourmet, regional american, and vegetarian ethnic food with a slight french emphasis

I bake bread from scratch, brew beer, make cheese, and will soon be grinding my own flours

I've worked as a full-time pastry chef & am accomplished in all baking sciences, including sugar & chocolate work

I organically grow summer veggies and compost all of my vegetable and yard waste

I am planning to build a gray-water recollection system (artificial bog) in addition to rain barrels

If everyone was like me, the world would be saved
