I'm more disturbed by The Great Gatsby making the list. That book was fucking horrible.
11/12/2007 7:03:02 AM
who puts the bible as their favorite book?i mean i know why people do itbut have you ever tried to actually READ the bible?no one reads that shitthey just keep it in their house in case anyone asks if they have oneno one wants to look like an areligious asshole[Edited on November 12, 2007 at 8:41 AM. actually, i have read the most of it and i am an areligious asshole
11/12/2007 8:43:06 AM
^^^ It's better when you're not being made to read it by an under-qualified pretentious high school English teacher. Most critics consider it to be one of the best American novels ever written and one of the crowning jewels of 20th century literature.[Edited on November 12, 2007 at 8:43 AM. Reason : not enough ^s]
11/12/2007 8:43:30 AM
It's a much better book, when you read it in your early twenties, rather than when you are forced to read it in the 8th grade.
11/12/2007 11:00:51 AM
ive read the bible
11/12/2007 11:03:27 AM
i'm a catholic and i don't consider the bible to be something i should categorize with other books. I consider it a religious icon that contains stories related to my beliefs. The bible, and leisurely entertainment reading are in totally different categories. People who put the bible as one of their favorite books are either:a.) goody goodies trying to show off how religious they areb.) sluts who try to incorporate religion into their lives to atone for their sins
