I HAVE to have the tv on when I go to sleep. Doesn't matter how tired I am...the tv always has to be on. This was a problem when I lived with my ex because up until a few years into the relationship, he didn't even have a tv in his bedroom

my ex's mom HAS to have the tv on. it disturbs me greatly. when they stayed over, i could always hear the tv ads or something through the walls. once, when we were living in a small apartment, she slept in the living room and i thought she had accidentally left the tv on. right as i turned it off, she woke up immediately.

I can't do that...I've gotta have almost no sound/light in the room to go to sleep (except for maybe something like a fan going).....I had to put a piece of black electrical tape over the blue standby light on my tv since its glow was too big a problem for me fallin asleep

Jesus....I just can't imagine getting into bed, turning off the lights and falling asleep. I wish I could but I just don't know how to turn 'off'

I can hardly stand this.

I cannot keep myself from paying attention to the tv or music when I'm trying to falling asleep. I'm closer to needing the drone of a fan or something.

But then, I generally have a hard time getting to sleep. I have a troubled mind.

Of course, I've occasionally passed out with the tv or stereo on.

You have to have the tv on when taking a nap.

I don't understand how you can get into your bed and close your eyes and fall asleep. I mean I obviously have done it, especially when I was little and wasn't allowed to have a tv in my room...

I mean maybe much like IAL (in awake life) I have 1,000 thoughts per second, I also have them when I'm attempting to fall asleep so I need random noise to drown it out.

its weird, i used to need the tv. then i went forever without a tv in my room. now i have to turn the tv off to sleep

i i can fall asleep with it on accidentally. but it always wakes me up. so if i'm trying to watch tv downstairs and i get lazy and just wanna sleep on the couch, i have to turn it off or i will stay up for freaking ever. haha

i also have a busted cell phone that i ripped the cover off after it broke. i got a new one off tww (thanks LivinProof78 for stopping on the way thru town and giving me a great deal )

anyways i use the old phone (broken screen) to charge one of the batteries, so i always have a full battery i can swap out in the mornings or whatever

and the old one has these crazy blue LED looking things all over the front, and i set it in a place that casts this cool blue light shadow across my bedroom when its plugged in. i like it a lot

seems to work in this thread, helps me sleep. and its a good nightlight to stop me from smacking my knee on the way out of my room in the dark

hahaha

what SHOULD be the area upstairs for tv watching is filled with my computer lab. it did have a tv in it, but it got sold so i could pay for crack.

(and youd think rehab would care more about a lone guy sleeping on the couch in the common area. cause you go straight from drugs to rape.)

my ex used to always have the fan on.

and I'm not talking about a ceiling fan. Those are fine with me. I'm talking about those 7 inch fans that sit on, or clip on to the night table or something. I know it doesn't sound bad, but it was horrible. She always had to have that shit blowing full blast right at our faces.

Even on the coldest days during the winter, she had that shit set on high.

I can't count the number of times I woke up with my lips chapped to hell

eventually, I just forbade her to use that damned fan when I was sleeping over.

I'm the same way. I usually put the TV on sleep timer, when I'm in bed, and it'll turn off on its own.

My g/f likes to go to sleep with the TV on... I have ADD... but hell if a TV doesn't keep my attention for hours... I'll be dead tired, and say goodnight... and then get caught up in the TV show and roll back over and she'll get pissed off b/c I said I was tired and didn't want to spoon anymore or anything but yet I'll watch TV...

fortunately she understands now... and only watches TV in bed if I go to bed early... which is when I'm tired enough to just pass out regardless... hence going to bed early...

robin is annoying but she is so pretty. i was somewhere the other day that had on CNN with no sound. and there was a commercial promoting her. and it was just showing her in positions that showed her hips and sexiness etc

and gofigure i know exactly what you mean. i'm supposedly so ADD the shrink wants me on 90mg of adderall DAILY. and i cant sleep with it on cause of what i said earlier (watching shit like bear grilz 300 times, even if that one has been on 3 times that day already). add is a bitch, especially when it reverses at night
