does the fondue pot work? where would one get burner fuel for it? how much are you looking to get for it?
11/11/2007 12:23:30 PM
$10 on magazine rack
11/11/2007 12:29:37 PM
^^ It's just a pot (not electric or anything, and I think it actually is from the 1970s), so there isn't much to work or not work about it. You put the burner under it, which heats whatever is inside. I think this type of fondue pot is meant for chocolate or cheese only, as it would be hard to get oil or broth hot enough to cook raw food.I think you can get some of these things http://www.kitchenniche.ca/fondue-fuel-swissmar-p-828.html?currency=USDthat work without needing the burner can. But if you do want to buy fuel, I'm sure you can get it at a kitchen store or Wal-Mart. I don't want much for it, maybe $2 because of its cool retro appeal It looks a little like except I think the flowers are more colorful. I haven't taken it out in a long time.[Edited on November 11, 2007 at 12:34 PM. Reason : pic]

^^ Just make an offer. I haven't decided for sure if I'm getting rid of both yet, but I won't turn down anything reasonable if I do decide to. You can either outbid rtc407 or bid on the other one.

do you have a pic of the rotating slicer, or a general idea of what it looks like?
11/14/2007 10:13:37 PM
It basically does the same thing as except it stands tall instead of short. It has 3 long legs, then a handle that you turn around to chop stuff. But the slicer plates are the same type as this one. It's chrome-colored.I can try to get a pic if you want me to.
