Just drove from Raleigh to Charleston SC with no heat. Had to stop at Wal-Mart for some blankets.
11/9/2007 11:26:29 PM
Just push it off a cliff as long as you have good insurance.
11/9/2007 11:42:39 PM
^^just get one of those little electric heaters that plugs into the cig lighter/power port.
11/10/2007 12:09:53 AM
Looked for them at Wal-Mart and could not find nothing. Where do you get them?
11/10/2007 12:51:59 AM
i think http://www.jcwhitney.com has them. not sure about anywhere local.

I predict a wire fire
11/10/2007 1:32:59 AM
I can't imagine how much of a bitch a heater core would be a on a Rover. It's bad enough on most cars...
11/10/2007 2:32:54 AM
part it out
11/10/2007 3:20:54 AM
man heater core replacements are easy. maybe not for a beginner, but do a few and youll see that removing the dash is as easy as removing an engine or other large component.
11/10/2007 11:32:28 AM
I found one at Advance Auto for 16.99. It's blows some hot ass air out just not much of it.
11/10/2007 3:03:29 PM
Now mount you about a half dozen more cigarette lighters and get more of them. Still cheaper than a heater core.
11/10/2007 3:36:07 PM
then you will burn up the alternator HAHAseriously though, the power wires to the factory cig. lighter arent suited to be running an appliance with high current draw (16-18g IIRC), you should add in an aftermarket power port thats fused and wired straight to the battery with at least 12g or thereabouts.
11/10/2007 3:52:32 PM
If you are implying this could start a fire that would quickly devour my Land Rover in flames I am not concerned. If you are saying its gonna burn the wires to the cigarette lighter then I might wanna check on it. ]
