Quote :
"Rosie O'Donnell, who abruptly left 'The View' on ABC last spring after drawing attention and ratings for her opinions on everything from the Iraq war to her co-hosts, is in serious discussions to return to television atop a new soapbox: a prime-time show on the cable news channel MSNBC, according to executives on both sides of the negotiations who have been briefed directly.

Under one scenario, Ms. O'Donnell would be given the 9 p.m. slot each weeknight on MSNBC, where she would go head-to-head with two heavyweights of cable talk: 'Larry King Live' on CNN and 'Hannity & Colmes' on Fox News. Her show would replace 'Live with Dan Abrams,' a relatively low-rated program that only recently replaced 'Scarborough Country,' which was also little-watched."

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/05/business/media/05cnd-msnbc.html?ex=1352005200&en=85649773677f555e&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

Two things: (1) The fact that a news organization would even consider hiring a left-wing moonbat such as Baghdad Rosie proves to me that they are biased, to say the least. And (2) many of you were wrong when you claimed that she's not taken seriously by many across America and in the media

If MSNBC actually goes through with this, I'll be shocked. And it'll likely be the final nail in this network's coffin.

Don't forget that they recently took on Tucker Carlson too.

Maybe they're balancing the network out with a load of idiots from both sides.

Maybe they'll send you an invite next.

If you find Rosie O'Donnell threatening, then you have some SERIOUS issues of your own.

It's fucking Rosie O'Donnell. She's a fat, stupid, irrelevant clown, and nobody gives a shit about what she thinks.

They're saying she blew the deal because she blabbed about it too early. This, from her blog:

Quote :
"msnbc

we were close to a deal
almost done
i let it slip in miami
causing panic on the studio end

well
what can u do

2day there is no deal
poof
my career as a pundit is over
b4 it began

just as well
i figure
everything happens for a reason
bashert - as we say

and on we go

Without even a hint of irony.

What does Bill O'Reilly say about Fox, then?

It actually was what we were discussing.

He was accusing MSNBC of having bias for having a prime time liberal pundit.

I was pointing out that for this to be true, the opposite would also be true. Of course he won't concede this, and his whole premise will be flawed.

It must really rile you up when I call you out for bringing up stuff that really is irrelevant, huh?

this thread is about Rosie and MSNBC, its not about O'Reilly and Fox News...gosh every thread turns into you bitching about Fox News doesnt it...get a life

how is it "actually what you were discussing" when you were the first one to bring up Fox News or O'Reilly? I thought other people were discussing it?

When a conservative accuses a network of having a liberal bias for hiring a liberal primetime pundit, why on earth would anyone even mention FOX? how completely off topic! You couldn't get more off topic if you tried!

Where did I say that?

If only I had said that, then that crap would've been relevant. Unfortunately, you're going to go through the last couple pages of that thread and realize that it was never said.

Then you're going to have even more sand in your vagina.

Go to the page(s) in which I called you out for bringing up irrelevant crap.

Find a quote where anyone was talking about climate change being a greater threat than terrorism.

To those that believe a particular storm, flood, landslide or drought is tied to global warming then resulting deaths certainly are attributable. And to some the severity of a problem isn't just measured by the loss of human lives.

^^i like how you're trying to insinuate that all along you've thought terrorism was a bigger threat...as if nobody remembers you and your lame "you have a higher probability chance of getting struck by lightning than dying in a terrorist attack" or "actually plenty of people have died from global warming...katrina, the tsunami, heat waves"...now you're pulling a complete 180 and trying to imply you've thought terrorism was a bigger threat all along? you're not fooling anyone

Actually, here it is:

/message_topic.aspx?topic=438755&page=35

-talked a lot about the feasibility of anti-climate change measures.
-talked about the politics behind climate change and how it was supposedly similar to the politics of 9/11
-then you chimed in with "I remember when climate change killed 3,000+ American citizens..." as if any of us had been comparing the threat.

It's really ok, though. Everyone here already knows that you post irrelevant crap.

^ haha, care to cite any of that?

no i dont care to scour over 1700 of your posts to point out something as obvious as your stance on which one was more dangerous and important to address between terrorism and global warming...im more curious as to why you pulled the complete 180 and actually acknowledged that terrorism is a bigger threat

now you're obfuscating things.

and you don't need to scour >1700 posts. Just the page cited above and maybe the two before that. I think that those pages are the relevant ones.

plus, what do my previous views (regardless of what they are) have to do with relevance within a certain discussion? I could bring up your views on hip-hop in this thread, it doesn't mean it'd be at all on topic.

but it would obviously be irrelevant if i could, since it wouldnt be from one of the the 2 or 3 pages that youve deemed as "fair game" to quote
