I can't even get down an entire PB&J sandwich without having to take breaks during eating it. I just get really nauseous anytime I eat and this has been ongoing for two weeks or so. It really sucks because I love food and now I feel hungry all the time, but when I eat I feel like puking. I've had my blood, stool, and urine checked and all is clear.Help me Dr. TWW

So you've exhausted the doctor?Heartburn or reflux can cause such problems. It's caused me to lose over 20 pounds through my pregnancy. I took all kinda of anti-nausea medications, but all it took was a prescription med for heartburn and reflux to stop the constant puking. If you're looking for anti-nausea remedies, I have about a million and five of them.

Heartburn, reflux, GERD. . .yeah, it's all inter-related. It can cause problems with nausea and swallowing.[Edited on November 7, 2007 at 10:58 PM. Reason : .]

nah, not really

Yeah, that's heartburn or reflux. Certain kinds of foods make it worse. Try Zantac 75 or 150, sleeping with your head raised, try not eating 2 hrs before bed. . . etc.

only thing I have is Gelusil, but it works I guess I should go to the doctor considering it's ongoing.
11/7/2007 11:04:10 PM
Yeah talk to a doc.Go to target and pick up a sizeable bottle of "Acid Reducer"/Zantac/Ranitidine. You can double on the 75mg ones to make them prescription strength if you're having that much trouble with it. I'd just stick to once every 12 hours though until the doctor confirms you've got acid problems. Be warned: You might get a camera down your throat later on to check for damage.

get some slippery elm powder from Whole Foods and put it in some hot water. Kind of like hot tea...it does not taste the best but it is not too bad. it is in the herbal section. It totally gets rid of nausea. Drink it first and then try eating a little after. It at least helped me eat my first months of pregnancy when I felt nauseated from everything I ate.

you'd know it if you had reflux. it would burn like a motherfucker.what you describe is very general and can be a symptom for quite a few problems. i'm not even going to try and diagnose you over the internet, and no one else should either.go back to the doctor. get a referral to a gastroenterologist.most importantly: don't listen to bottombaby in dr. tww-related matters.]
