I predict that the best team left of a team's schedule will have the best chance to beat said team. IM A GENIUS
11/5/2007 10:11:26 PM
i consider the broncos the only bad loss. the cardinals loss was more because of whisenhunt/grimm's intimate knowledge of our offensive line blocking schemes and they took advantage of it big time. it's all about matchups, and i think the steelers and giants are the only teams that have the potential of exploiting those matchups to get the win. i think eli will make too many mistakes to get it done though, which is why i think the steelers are really the only team that can do it.i just hope it works out better than it did in 04 when we ended their streak. we ended up 15-1 but the pats got the ring.
11/5/2007 10:12:53 PM
what matchups will the steelers exploit, exactly? I'm curious

Giants have the best chance at ending the perfect season.
11/5/2007 10:38:38 PM
I agree. With their pass rush and defense, the Giants have the better chance of stopping Brady.
11/5/2007 10:46:15 PM
Also, it's week 17. Assuming the Pats are undefeated at that point, they are sure to have homefield. They won't have much to play for, and they will likely rest their starters for at least part of the game. The Giants will probably be battling for playoff position, and possibly NFC East championship.[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 10:50 PM. Reason : ]

i disagree, i think the pats offense is good while the steelers offense is only kind of good, therefore the patriots will win!!!11[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 10:54 PM. Reason : v]

So people actually think the Giants will have a good second half?I mean this team has done this for seemingly 5 years now. Start 5-1, 6-2 whatever and then win less than half coming in and Coughlan supposedly on the hotseat.

The Bengals will dash the patriots dreams of back to back 19-0 seasonsnext year in the playoffsmark it down

As a Denver fan that watched us pull a victory out of our hindside to beat Pittsburgh, no.
11/6/2007 7:23:46 AM
Steelers will do it.....Fuck the Pat's !
11/6/2007 8:16:13 AM
Steelers are a good team. Solid and good personnel....I just wonder if their defense is really up to the challenge. Also, I just don't see Big Ben being able to dissect the Pats defense as good or as fast as Peyton did. Will be another great game, should be anyway, but if both teams are healthy - I think NE takes win by 17... III
11/6/2007 8:19:44 AM
yesssssssssssss
11/6/2007 9:44:57 AM
peyton has the upper hand when it comes to going through his progressions and hitting his 2nd or 3rd target quickly, but roethlisberger can extend the play with his mobility as good as anyone. his strength makes him hard to bring down, and if the line plays as well as they did tonight ben can take care of the rest with his arm and mobility in the pocket. the reason the steelers will beat the patriots is the steelers defense, but the offense will play a big role by protecting the football and scoring when opportunities arise.
11/6/2007 9:50:03 AM
the same Steelers team that lost to the Cardinals?
11/6/2007 10:10:20 AM

We will see...We will see... If Everyone is healthy for both teams - I think it will be a hell of a game, but I don't see Pitt's defense holding all of NE offensive weapons. Big Ben's strength and mobility will aid the Pitt's Offense, but I don't think he will want to scramble too much against the hitters of NE. I think alot of people keep forgetting how good NE defense is. Older than most (I think all teams) but still effective when it counts and comes up with big plays and stops. III
11/12/2007 1:22:53 PM
ben doesn't want to scramble too much against anyone. he is always trying to buy himself time to keep the pass alive and find someone downfield. the 49 yards rushing he had yesterday were a career high for him.and cleveland has looked like a different team since that week one game. i think the steelers showed a lot of resolve in the 2nd half coming back for the win. that's something they weren't able to do against the cardinals and broncos.
11/12/2007 2:03:38 PM
now the jets are working over the steelers
