i am trying to find some software or something that would allow us (architectural firm) to list projects that are currently active on a slowly scrolling project board/marquee. it would need to look similar to like what they use at the airport that shows arrivals, departures, times, etc. we want to hook it up to a plasma tv we have up on the wall here.of course it would need to move constantly or have some sort of anti-burn in feature. i'm searching on google but no luck yet. it would need to have fields like Project Number, Description, and Status. it would be great if we could change the colors too.it would need to look similar to this:

boss said he'd pay. i don't know how much.we can easily make a spreadsheet or something with the information we need, and we can figure out how to hook it up to the tv, we just don't have the moving/scrolling part to prevent burn-in. any suggestions? maybe a screensaver that just takes the screen as it is and moves it up and down? that wouldn't show the entire list though, just what shows up on the screen at that time...i don't know

You could even do this as a powerpoint presentationor flash animation.then you wouldn't have to hire a coder.

or hell.make an html file and just view it fullscreen on the montior. (F11)you could do all your marquee stuff, implement any logos, and make it easily modifiable.paypal me $40 and I'll write this up for you today/tonight. I can make it look just like a terminal screen, or i can make it prettier.I'll even fill it in the first time, if you email me the xls file.[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 10:58 AM. Reason : and you wont have to have it on the internet to do this.]

or get the Cisco DMP system. Videos, html, pics, whatever you want to show on the board. Its part of our new digital signage efforts, and works really well. Connects to the tv, and can be controlled remotely over the network.
