Has anyone been to see this?It is at the history museum until Jan 13 2008http://ncmuseumofhistory.org/lostcolony/site/index.htmlit sounds interesting to me, but they dont really describe what is in the exhibit besides saying "paintings and artifacts"

I plan on going, even though I've never been impressed with anything at the NC History Museum.

They would probably get much better attendance if they could tie it into Lost somehow.
11/4/2007 7:15:25 PM
they should do something on the growth of the triangle/state in the past 30-40 years

From what I understand it's different things from the time period (obvious, I know) clothing, maps, paintings, engravings, watercolors by John White (which is a huge deal to the people there at the museum) and such.My mom is helping run it and I'm probably going Wednesday night to the event that they're holding ]

Saw it. Mostly John White stuff with very little about the lost colony.

http://historyproject.ucdavis.edu/khapp.php?SlideNum=301aha wtfthat's a gorgeous image, but how much of that is rooted in reality?
11/7/2007 10:42:51 PM
aha, they had quite a few of the blue people. There was a woman who had star bursts on her boobs and belly button too. My mom and I wanted to know which parts were painted on and which were tattoos

bttt...has anyone gone? is it worth the 15 dollars it is or whatever? how is the gift store?
12/10/2007 4:06:55 PM
it was alright. I wasn't very into it, but you might be if you like the time period. I liked the gift shop, but as always, it's crazy overpriced.
12/10/2007 5:20:59 PM
my whole thing was that i would think anything they could possibly show i could find on the internet with enough searching...doesnt seem like it would be all that spectacular
12/10/2007 5:23:30 PM
I already posted a link to a lot of the art
