I swear I used the search feature but I couldn't find a thread on this. (mods, if you find one, move this over, I don't mind at all.)

anyway, I am thinking of switching over from TWC to DirectTV but wanted to get a feel for what the actual cost would be, both for startup and for the monthly. I know what it says on the DirectTV site, but that generally doesn't tell the entire story.

Has anyone hear used their installers? Was it painless? Did you have to pay extra? Is the dish a total eyesore? What is your total monthly bill? (I am looking at either the premiere or the plan just below that). Any help is appreciated.
