I need to get a heat pump for my condo. 2 Ton should be big enough. How much does it cost to get this installed, and is it something you can do yourself?

^ Unless you've done it before, you really wouldn't recommend installing a heat pump yourself. For one, you're probably not licensed to handle refrigerants. If it's a new install you need a licensed electrician for the high voltage wiring. You'll also have to be a proficient brazer to install the refrigerant lines. It's not rocket science, but it's not a job for someone with zero experience to do without supervision.

^ if it's for his condo it would be 240. Lighting is about the only thing that's 277 in industrialif it's a packaged unit you can do it yourself, otherwise don't[Edited on October 27, 2007 at 9:00 PM. Reason : duh]

I googled 350v for shits and giggles... Looks like it's used for a miriad of handy residential applications such as electric ship propulsion and electric guitar amps. edit: Oh, and speaking of 277 volt lighting. Carefull around that shit. It will seriously fuck you up. [Edited on October 28, 2007 at 10:53 AM. Reason : .]
