holy shit these guys are awesome, i think i've found a new favorite sport

they emailed us (the EMS club) b/c their league requires that at least 1 EMT be at every game, so of course we volunteered.

me and my friend andrew went. got to sit on the bench with the team, watch everything up close... it was awesomeeeeeeee.

plus a carolina player smacked his back on the goal, we went out on the ice and took care of him, the carolina coach was all "if you're fine, then stand up" and i'm screaming "NO DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM STAY STILL ON THE ICE, LET ME PUT THIS COLLAR ON YOU" haha. we called rescom and got a wake EMS truck dispatched and made him go to wakemed since we couldn't clear cspine on scene.

anyway, they won 5 - 1. it was fucking amazing, i had a shit ton of fun, and we will be back next week. you all should come out and watch, the games are fridays at 9pm at the reczone.

and, being the awesome guys that they are, they're giving us jerseys to thank us for coming out.

it was an awesome friday night.

Hockey is an awesome sport, I'll consider coming to the game next time I'm not busy on a Friday night... You know, they'd probably get more attendance if they didn't have the games right when everyone does stuff.

it was like 8-1 if i remember correctly

but we definitely dominated.

we got a goal within 30 seconds of the beginning of the game

the game friday night against virginia was pretty sweet. it was my first ncsu club hockey game and i must say i was impressed...will most definitely be back.


best trash talk line of the night to virginia goalie when we're up 8-1: hey what do you and your mom have in common? ... you've both been scored on 8 times tonight!
