she said "JUST SEVEN SPACES"READ THE FUCKING POST YOU JACKASS
10/25/2007 6:38:58 PM
^7 spaces? what?
10/25/2007 6:41:24 PM
He got a chance to call somebody a jackass and couldn't help himself. BTW, there are plenty of ways to remove the watermarks, but it is illegal and very rude. Buy a picture, spread the love of photography.

^I thought they were his/her photos in the first place, with a WM from the website. If they're not yours buy 'em. If they are, heal it off.

Since photographers charge way too much for wedding photos, the digital copies should be free.
Using the Firefox web browser(firefox.org), go to pictage. You'll want to login with a fake name and a throw-away email address, just in case. (The can still track your IP address, but they won't do that unless you piss them off.) Pull up your wedding and browse the photos. When you see a photo you like, hold "SHIFT" on the keyboard while you left-click the photo. The photo should pop up in a new firefox window with all the normal toolbars at the top. At the top, choose "Tools" then "Page Info". You should now see a new "Page Info" window. Click the "Media" tab. Right-click the third address, which will look something like http://pis-farm.pictage.com/servlet/PIS?wmark=/home/image/assets/watermarks/ME009/ME0092006.jpg|load=/home/image/proxydb/M/E/ME009/2007/198348/02/109_D_S_0282.jpg|crop&x0=0&y0=1&wdth=900&hite=600|prop=below&wdth=400&hite=400&cb=1and choose "Copy". Open a new firefox window and "Edit"->"Paste" this url in the address bar. If you hit enter you should see the photo again, still with a watermark from the photographer. To fix this, edit the url like sohttp://pis-farm.pictage.com/servlet/PIS?load=/home/image/proxydb/M/E/ME009/2007/198348/02/109_D_S_0282.jpg|crop&x0=0&y0=1&wdth=900&hite=600|prop=below&wdth=400&hite=400&cb=1You'll notice that I just deleted the "wmark=/home/image/assets/watermarks/ME009/ME0092006.jpg| " part of the url. You should now see the photo with no text on it. Now we need to get the full size version. The sample size photo you see now is 400 pixels wide x 400 pixels tall. I don't know how big the actual photo is, but 1600x1200 is all my monitor will show, so let's use that size for now. Edit the url again:http://pis-farm.pictage.com/servlet/PIS?load=/home/image/proxydb/M/E/ME009/2007/198348/02/109_D_S_0282.jpg|crop&x0=0&y0=1&wdth=900&hite=600|prop=below&wdth=1600&hite=1200&cb=1Do you see where the 400 and 400 near the end changed to 1600 and 1200? Hit enter and the photo should appear in all it's glory. Right-click the photo to save it.

Marko's food is made of hate and 2 parts "roll-eye-smiley"DO YOU REALLY NEED THAT ON YOUR TOMBSTONE
10/25/2007 7:41:23 PM
Blame pictage. They've known about this problem for at least 4 years now, they're just too lazy to fix it.
10/25/2007 7:41:57 PM
hahahabackdoor tomfoolery
10/25/2007 7:44:11 PM
10/25/2007 7:47:46 PM
I applaud you then. For what most photographers charge, the customer should get a digital copy and the negatives.Don't even get me started on the school photo racket.Don't get me wrong, pictage is a wonderful service filling a very real need. But if photographers use it expecting security, they're kidding themselves.[Edited on October 25, 2007 at 8:13 PM. Reason : .]

Most photographers don't expect security on sites like that...
