before you were born or when you were very young.

How did that affect you, if at all? Did you consider it normal to spend time at both parent's houses and see your mom/dad with other SO's?

my parents divorced when I was five, and until 2 years ago or so, always lived within about a half hour from each other. I don't think i have any adverse effects from it, I felt I had a good and loving upbringing. hell when I was younger I was happy to have two christmases and birthdays every year

My parents divorced when I was 8. I live in a different country than her now. Sucks yo, I barely even get to talk to her on the phone.

On the lighter side, her boyfriend is a really nice and decent guy and has two daughters in kind of a similar situation.
