Those crazy towel heads were better off w/ Saddam ruling with an iron fists. Uday locked some soccer guys in torture boxes, saddam gassed some kurds, oh well better than Ackbar mulSaladeen strapping on a bomb and blowing up 100 women and children in the market; having 3000 of our troops killed, wasting nearly a trillion on the war effort, and pissing off our allies w/ the rest of the world at us.[Edited on October 25, 2007 at 9:59 AM. u are right no war in iraq was justified.Since u apparently believe so much in the cause so much why don't you enlist, go over to Iraq, and spread freedom throughout Iraq.

In general, while I don't agree with AxlBonBach, he makes well-reasoned arguments and I can see where he's coming from.In this thread, he's just acting stupid.

It's true, results have been more promising in recent months. It's a horrid expense fabricated on a lie, but some good may come of it as long as we finish what we are doing there.

That is spread out over 14 years. So, it was only $571 this year. That, plus, why are they including interest when they could easily cut entitlement programs and balance the budget, so why allot the deficit to the war? It's not the war's fault its daddy cannot budget; so leave it alone.
10/26/2007 8:53:03 AM
^ not that i advocate more gov't spending but you would rather spend money paid by the taxpayers to fight a unpopular unjustified foreign war, than using this money to benefit the people that paid it.Between the two; I'd rather cut checks every week to 1000 crack mommas to sit around and drink 40's than buy a new B2 bomber to help blow up people in Iraq or any new enemy we create through our neo-imperialist policies.[Edited on October 26, 2007 at 9:54 AM. Maybe more emphasis on the fact that this spending is going to suppliers who make enormous profits would bother war supporters more then, since they detest giving people money to people who don't deserve it, but don't seem to mind much if the wrong people are killed.

^ I do not want to pay for that shit either; neither do I want to pay for George W to play cowboy running around the middle east with a stick in hand poking a bee nest also known as the Middle East. Ultimately when it is his buddies in haliburton, big oil, and other defense contractors that are profiting.Maybe if the oil taps in Iraq were wide open and I paid $1.25/gallon at the pump I could overlook Bush's true intentions in Iraq, the countless civilians dead, and American lives lost in a war of american aggression.[Edited on October 26, 2007 at 12:37 PM. ^^maybe you should try one of the ~170 other countries in the world who not only pay more for gas per gallon than we do, but also have generally shittier quality of life and a lot less militaristic protection from external threatsand seriously...can anyone on tsb express their dislike for the war without saying some "dubya, oil buddies, unjust based on lies"? the same broken record has been playing on here for years...try thinking for yourself instead of just parroting news outlets[Edited on October 26, 2007 at 12:40 PM. Our military dwarves that of Germany, sweden, Australia, japan ,etc. Yet i do not think their populace sits around shaking b.c they lack the military might to take on half the world. Neither do you see them in celebration that we took out the evil dictator of Iraq who was a member of the "axis of evil"

definitely...i dont think my tax dollars should go to people that have made "bad choices"...i think those people should get jobs and kick their drug habits...maybe their families can help them out...they're not my responsibility...i want my taxes to go towards things that help everyone...whether it be roads, utilities, other infrastructure...or national security...not someone who made "bad choices"
