i know the two don't go together but im trying to lose some weight... not really pressuring myself into a diet but would just like to eat "lighter" but not starve myself or eat nasty food.

some fast food places have "low fat" items. since i work every night i end up eating fast food most of the time. i've been getting salads from places like wendys and chick-fil-a but thats gettin old. are there any other choices?

wendys grilled chicken and side salad or baked potato (no crap on it though)

japanese if you don't use the sauce
chinese brocolli and beef with brown rice

Thats a good website for nutrition info on most places.

...Really, it's not hard to go home and figure something out.

God knows I do it for my bf and I both, and you couldn't exactly say I have a surfeit of spare time.

Even if it's just cobbling together some carbs, protein, and some veggies in a non-gourmet fashion, it's going to be better (and hella cheaper) than going out to eat all the time.

It really depends how you are trying to diet. Chick-fil-a grilled chicken sandwiches with the wheat bun are pretty good. You can always eat some Wendy's chilli or chicken nuggets with your salad. Neither are great for you, but as long as you eat in moderation, neither will rack up calories. You could probably eat some fairly healthy meals if you stuck to the healthy meats and greens from boston market.

you can get a salad almost everywhere. subway salads are excellent if you find a place that has spinach leaves.

yeah. you can eat fairly healthy fast food if you know how to eat..
lots of times, the sauce on a lot of sandwiches have the same amount of fat as the sandwich itself.

so dropping the fatty sauce, and adding something like catsup or BBQ sauce is a good replacement, they are fat free... but they have sugars and fairly acidic.

eat more romaine lettuce/spinach instead of iceberg, those two have tons more nutrients.

if you have to get sauces, get it on the side.

the fish fillet from McDs has (for example) 18G fat, the tartar sauce on the sandwich has like 8G itself.

so if you take the sauce off, its a 10G sandwich. and 2 sandwiches would fill you up.

also, 2 bacon egg cheese (or sausage egg cheese) biscuits from McDs. has a similar caloric and fat value than the 3 pancake deal with 2 cerials, syrup and milk.

so you just know what to eat if you are going to eat out a lot.

lots of grilled chicken sandwiches are good, but get them without sauces, the honey mustard sauce at wendies has a lot of fat. get it without sauce and add BBQ sauce (unless you like dry sandwiches)..

it's easy for a male to maintain or lose weight. eat what you want but only eat half of it. do a fast-paced walk for half-hour a day 3 days a week. that's it.

If you work at night bring your own food. I always pack food no matter where I'm going so I don't have to eat out.

I hate to break it to ya'll, but focusing on fat count is full of shit. It was never based on decent research. But, if you are trying to "diet" (even though everyone has a diet and this use is a bastardized media creation) with fast food......whatever.

Wendy's Baked Potato and Chili is a pretty healthy option. just eat the potato plain or have light butter. Also, if you are bringing your food home, you can get one or two Arby's roast beef sandwiches, throw away the buns, and put the beef on whole grain bread.

I've been doing well by controlling portion sizes. Its more sustainable than eating rabbit food all the time. A kids meal has more than enough calories to not starve yourself. It doesn't really matter what you eat, as long as at the end of the day you've reduced your calorie intake. We've actually been doing Taco Bell alot. A burrito or two tacos fresco style make a good meal, its the 300 calorie nachos with cheese that make you fat. If you keep your dinner selection to <~400 calories and cut out the regular soda, you will be able to find plenty of variety.

ever read the ingredients and nutrtional info on sandwich meat? Subway doesn't even use the relative better stuff. If you've got to eat subway, eat their chicken

If I don't have time to make dinner, I grab something from the hot bar at Whole Foods. You can get steamed veggies, grilled chicken or tofu, and soups. There are a bunch more options, but that's what I like. Also, they have take-out sushi, and a salad bar (if you can handle another salad). It's not "fast food" in the sense that it has no drive-through, but you can be in and out in about 5 minutes.
