2 cups canned garbanzo beans, drained
1/3 cup tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
2 cloves garlic, halved
1 tablespoon olive oil


That's the recipe I have, minus paprika and parsley. I don't measure anymore. I also don't drain the chickpeas too much - just about the first half of the first can.

I do the garlic, salt, lemon juice, and tahini together in a processor, to chunk up the garlic appropriately. I also probably use a fair bit more than .333c of lemon juice. Then I start slowly adding chickpeas, and then olive oil last.

Omg it's tasty.

my baba recipe is like roast 2 eggplants in the oven until they turn black on both sides, scrape out the pulp, blend with half a cup of yogurt, juice of a lemon, a touch of garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. but i don't eat that gay crap much anymore

Yes, i definitely know the difference between baba ghannouj (the food) and hummus. This is a restaurant called Baba Ghannouj, who has some killer hummus. Incidently, their baba ghannouj (food) isnt that good.
