Ngaile hasnt really talked about the format of his exams. Does anyone from past semesters know if he gives formulas for problems, or are we supposed to have them memorized (oh please god I hope not...)?

I thought he said in class that there would be some multiple choice, fill in the blank, and short answer / calculation. As for formula's I think he expects us to know all the "basics" like sigma=K*epsilon^n

i planned on doing that reading today but didn't start till about 9 ish. I've got a couple breaks tomorrow. Prolly look over the HW and the review sheets then. I think I'ma regret not doing those reviews. He also mentioned possibly drawing something . . . I would guess that stupid orthagonal cutting diagram with all the forces or a stress-strain curve and label all the points and regions.[Edited on October 21, 2007 at 10:38 PM. Reason : ]

Problems are pretty much from the homeworks he made you do during the semester. Make sure you study all of the example problems. He gave us (fall 06) like 7 problems and we had to choose 5. Hope this helps

yeah it did. I only knew how to do bits and pieces of the non-multiple choice problems.
