registration didn't start for a new group today.

it opened yesterday for DR, etc. then tomorrow for seniors

how you get it opened today?

speaking of time travel. a friend called me from one minute in the future yesterday.
i missed the call, and my phone said he called at 4:20. However, the clock on my phone said it was 4:19

I register with the DR group, not that it matters. I could register a month from now and my classes will still be half empty.

If I'd just gone to my adviser earlier I could've registered as soon as I got the PIN number.

Used the diabeetus to get priority registration so I can make time to go to my regular doctors appointments easily, so the daily schedule isn't that different from one day to the next (I.E. none of those 8am classes that ruin everything), and just because. I mean, shit, I loved it when I was a freshman and got to take all the classes I wanted to, haha.

I never took it, but my buddies who did had nothing good to say about the Time Travel class, and they, too, were all excited at the beginning.

That's because the scholars program is a laughable parody of the honors program and will accept any slack-jawed ape it can find.

^^ thanks

scholars program lets you register early for your freshman - 1st level senior hours, but not the ~118+ hours

yea i think its PhD, Athletes/Special Needs, Scholars/Seniors, etc

actually i think the scholars program would've been pretty cool to check out like my freshman year, honors seminars are pretty interesting though. scholars is more based on social interaction where honors is taking harder classes

^we have to take honors/grad courses (15 hours) and do 3 semesters of seminar, and thats it.

i heard the honors program makes you do a research project/paper, that's why I did scholars.

No, athletes go way before other people.

When Dan was on the baseball team, he was put under athletes on his registration. He got his PIN like a week and a half before mine, so like a whole week before seniors did. However, he didn't know it for a while and figured out that he was still in the system like that even till now.

so what do all the codes in the first group mean?

DR, DV, GR, MR, PR, 05

DR = doctoral
DV = vet students
MR = master's (?)
PR = professional (?) (whats that, mba?)
GR = graduate (?)

and I get to register tomorrow. yay for transferring in with 138 credits.

Yeah, athletes do get to register super early.

This is basically true, and it also demonstrates why you wouldn't have been well-suited to the Honors Program.

People of sufficient mental caliber to really belong in honors understood that you stayed in it your first three years so that you got to register early as hell, then quit your senior year before the "Capstone Project" was due while still getting to register pretty damn early by virtue of being a senior.

Using this system, I designed a schedule such that I had no class on Fridays for five out of eight semesters, and in my entire career I had maybe one class that started before 11 AM. In exchange for this, all I had to do was take some Honors classes that generally just fit GER's anyway and, with only one exception, were painfully easy besides.

That's probably my plan, unless I'm feeling particularly masochistic and decide to do the capstone project. Even with the early registration I've always ended up with unfriendly schedules since a lot of my courses had required Friday classes or I had to sign up for something at 8am (CHE ftl). Last semester I was at State was probably my best so far, 8am on MWF with 11:20 on TH.

^^or I'm not here to cheat the system.

are you that fucking stupid to think I didn't realize that you could abuse that program?
