everytime i have been to franklin st i have thought it was lame and not worth it for driving/parking/all the security. if all the ncsu students that went to chapel hill/ecu stayed here we could have a party just as big, and better

I'm all for a Hillsborough Halloween, I'm all for any extra life on Hillsborough street. But if anyone's in the chapel hill area for Halloween keep an eye out for megaman (probably going to pick one of the powers from the old bosses and make it a themed megaman, with some friends going as other related characters like rush/protoman/zero or whatever, or I may scrap that idea entirely, just trying to find a cheap costume).

One thing I noticed about the franklin street for Halloween is a lot of people are willing to go all out on these costumes, and a lot of ppl become more comfortable with near nudity are a lot of ppl…

i mean, it's dressing up in a costume and walking around drinking no matter where you do it - this time you just get to do it with wolfpackers

Make that parking lot across thompkins into a dance area/ dj area with music playing. Get business to offer awesome specials for NCSU students only. Something near the bell tower would be nice too. Like a best costume prize would be announced there.

I just suggested to some of my friends that we do it (cause it's too much of a hassle to go to franklin street)

we ended up getting a spot on the EV deck, and there actually were plenty of people out there

Nothing was organized last year, it was just people going out to the bars like it was any other night, only in costume

Hopefully most of the "The Hillsborough Street Businesses" mentioned are actually participating and may give it more of a Hike Night Feel

i mean, 690ish people are already 'rsvp'ed to this deal

they tried this with glenwood south a few years back and it failed. Glenwood south is a much better location too.

They need to do something for the 18-20 crowd to make this successful. Allow unders in (in costume only, maybe?) and marked with something besides an X and run some virgin drink specials.

Franklin Street wasn't shut down from the beginning. It was only when it started getting bigger. I would definitely do a hike on Hillsborough over dealing with getting to Chapel Hill.

i did it last year...we went from el rodeo to EV. skipped a lot in between though...so basically just el rodeo and EV
