Just get rid of it, take it to a scap yard (make some $) and then when you have to appear in court or pay the fine you can probably show that you got rid of it and the ticket will be dropped.http://www.ncscrapmetal.com/page3.html[Edited on October 13, 2007 at 12:11 PM. Reason : link]

There's an assclown in our neighborhood that calls the city every time we don't pull the trash can behind the house by 7:01 PM on trash day, calls Ace Towing if a car is 12.01 inches from the curb, and our landlord everytime a car door slams. Probably the same guy that got the city to deliver a violation for having an unregistered car in the backyard to someone down the street. Considering padlocking his trashcan to his front door.
10/13/2007 7:53:48 PM
^you should do something about that
10/13/2007 8:06:08 PM
epoxy his can to the curb and call the city on him

Raleigh's been on this clean-up-the-cityOMG spree for a while. A neighbor called the city on my parents because (these are her words from the complaint) "weeds and grass in the backyard are waist high". ...They were ~knee height, because my dad hadn't been able to mow the backyard for some time (small backyard, almost totally shaded, with a septic tank and drain field back there, at the base of a steep hill which turns the yard into a bog with ANY rain). The city inspectors came out, and cited us for, among other things- a potential rodent infection, because we have a woodpile- unsuitable construction or whatever it's called for shit like peeling paint on trim, nails that weren't painted or caulked over, "unsealed" hardwood floors, and watermarks on the ceiling that had been in the house since we moved in in 1994. This house was built in the 60s. They also harassed my parents about tree chunks on the power company's right-of-way for high-voltage lines that the power company had left when they did some clearing. Even after showing the city inspector the deed that shows our property stops at the end of the driveway, they were assessing my fines to my folks. They had to get a written copy of the verbal agreement that we have with progress energy (we can use the back half of the easement however we please, so long as we mow it, and don't erect permanent structures. They handle the front, because it's full of briars, is boggy, and a pain in the ass to get into)BTW, this is all within walking distance of western blvd, and you can only see some of the garage from the street. My folks' property is cut with a creek, and the front of the lot is forested. We have a tunnel driveway going to the back of the lot. Do you own the property? Ask what ordinances they say you're violating. Obviously, handle the issue, but waste as much of their time as possible. Do you even have to go to court or pay a fine, or was this just a nastygram?]

actually i'm renting, all of this goes to the landlord. and get this, i called and asked, he's apparently been cited before. the city came out and cleaned up his carport because stuff was there (he's been renovating the house) and they charged him for them having to clean it upmakes me want beat the shit out of someone hearing shit like this
