My suggestion... Woods of Terror, Church Street, Greensboro
Its the best one I have ever been to. It takes about an hour to get through. They add new stuff every year. Every year, they have a different scary-movie star. Last year was Jason (I think), they've had Pumpkinhead, and the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre man (that dude is huge! :beatup, and the guy from Jeepers Creepers. They also have a haunted museum filled with memorabilia like original pieces from different movies.

I went to Woods of Terror last night. It was even better than last year. They had a new house based on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It was terrific.

I want to go to High Point and do Spooky Woods too but didn't get a chance. Maybe next weekend.

yah know about 2 years ago i went to one in the charlotte area and I can't remember exactly where it was. If I recall correctly it was near or off of the McAdendville exit. there was no real parking lot, we had to park off the side of the road and then hike up a steep driveway to this creepy old house on top of the hill. Everything happened inside the house and I remember it being creepy/gory/spooky as fuck. I'm texting my friend to see if she remembers where / what it was.

I wrote an article about it, but I haven't been there. It's aimed at families, so my guess is it's more "fun" and less scary. Which would explain the response you got.

Went to Campground Massacre in South Charlotte last night and I must say that it was the best overall haunted house I've been to.
