I really need to say I'm sorry, but roses won't cut it.I need rare/awesome looking flowers to say I care.It needs to be something significant.Any botany majors available to chime in?Are there any local florists you would recommend?

There is a local florist on Hillsborough street, near Melvin's I think. And there was also one mentioned earlier next to UT and Zaxby's.

Why not buy a bunch of pre-cut ones from like Harris teeter and make your own arrangments? There selection isn't too bad.

^I always hit up Whole Foods or Fresh Market right after work. That is, for special occasions and the days when I've put myself in the dog house. Both of those places are good for a quick flower grab, but idk about exotic blooms.

I got gorgeous orange tulips yesterday just becauseI personally like stargazer lilies mixed with red or white longstem roses. guys- don't only buy your woman flowers when you screw up. Buy them "just because", if she's having a bad day, when you're out of town or haven't been able to see her in awhile... [Edited on October 12, 2007 at 1:57 PM. Reason : l]
