#1 NCSUOthers: UK. Both parents and a sister went there. Was born while my father was still in medical school at Kentucky. Moved from Lexington at 6 years old, to NC. The play room in the house I grew up in (where the big TV and the bar is) is like a shrine to Wildcat basketball.]

#1 - NCSUTexas A&M - I'm enthralled with Kyle Field and the tradition there (Desperately want to visit)Auburn - A friend of mine always pulled for them, so I often watched thier games when I was youngerClemson - Kind of a replica of NC State university-wise. Family had a home on Lake Hartwell (~15 mins) when I was younger and went to many games there. Cannot pull for them as long as Tammy Bowden is thier coach, though.

10/9/2007 9:11:17 AM
#1 NCSU of course.after that its a tie for second with UNC-Charlotte and Syracuse. Syracuse because my whole family is from upstate NY and it was about the only college my dad grew up rooting for. Charlotte because I grew up <10 minutes from their campus and thus went to tons of soccer and basketball games for them growing up (including road ones)

I figure I've been to 30+ football/basketball games over the years. When I lived in San Diego, I came back East for christmas and packed a road trip to the Tangerine Bowl to watch Phil's last football game at State.

-NC State, Purdue, ECU some (although not when they're playing NC State)-Army and Navy-anyone playing North Carolina or Indiana-any Division I-AA, Sun Belt, or MAC team playing a BCS school, provided they're not playing NC State or Purdue-any school playing a team that if that team lose will royally f*** up the BCS and the national title game having a nice, easy decision on who will play; I'm best described as a college football anarchist [Edited on October 9, 2007 at 12:46 PM. #1) NC State - no explanation needed#2a) Michigan - always pulled for them in everything (hockey, football, basketball) when I was a little kid. dreamed of going there, but decided not to apply b/c of distance and cost. I was the only one in my family pulling for Michigan to beat UNC in 1993 National Championship game.#2b) Tennessee - nearly went there. went to Knoxville a lot when I was younger. my final two schools came down to State and Tennessee. chose State b/c of in-state tuition and i didn't know how much money in scholarships and financial aid i would get.[Edited on October 9, 2007 at 4:20 PM. # 1 NC STATE Born and bred. I have been attending games since I can remember. I wish I could say grad, still working on that. # 2 Tennessee I almost went there too. Surprised at how many have said this so far. Out of state tuition is a bitch and I wasn't getting enough scholly/money to go there. (How come none of these "fans" post in the threads or talk about UT? I try to. Lofton is the man!) # 3 Appalachian State - lots of family/friends went/go there. I hate the hatred that is going on now between the two and it really is stupid since the schools are on 2 different levels. # 4 Davidson - some family went, taught, go there. I nearly went there also and am proud to say that I was accepted. Tough ass school, doubt I would have made it there since I am not too academically minded.
10/10/2007 12:13:51 AM
#1.) NC State - When I was in 3rd grade I put my loyalty into NCSU and stuck with them ever since. I can honestly say that I am attending the school I always wanted to go to.#2.) Virginia Tech - Almost all of my father's side of the family has attended Virginia Tech except for him. All of them are die hard Hokies and I have been to several games up there. Their campus is amazing.#3.) Miami/LSU - My mom is 1 of 5 siblings. While she went to Greensboro College on merit scholarship she had her brother and sister attend the University of Miami and both get degrees in international business while her other 2 sisters attended LSU to get degrees in business and industrial engineering. Everyone should at least go to Coral Gables to see the U and go meet Mike the Tiger at the Vet College at LSU!#4.) Tulane University - The sister that attended Miami on my mothers side also went on to get her MBA at LSU and the go to law school at Tulane. It is a very nice and little school, reminds me a lot of Wake Forest.
