i thought from what we read that most of the new premiums with the hdmi outputs also had the chips

Wait until the end of the month, buy a Premium with the two free games.

^^no, the new premiums with HDMI have revised heatsinks. These should help in theory, but those boxes are still RRoD-prone.As of now, the only 360's confirmed to be equipped w/the new chips are SOME (only the very latest) of the Halo3 360's.The new 2-game bundle Arcade and Pro 360's should hopefully have the revised chips. Hopefully those turn out to fix the problem, although I'm skeptical.

So now they are saying you're going to have to wait until the 2008 holiday season for a new 65nm cpu and graphics chip.http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2007/10/xbox_360_secrets_after_falcon_comes_jasper.html

just build a PC

^^and then in 2009 you can buy the next Xbox they put out and they'll completely quit supporting 360 on the spot. yay![Edited on October 10, 2007 at 11:42 AM. Reason : f]
