possible?more to the point, possible without eventually committing homicide/suicide?
10/8/2007 7:03:18 PM
man i hated summer classes and one jobmay god be with ye
10/8/2007 7:04:36 PM
yes
10/8/2007 7:05:03 PM
i'd only be taking 1-2 classesthey'd be graduate level thoughand one of the jobs is full-time
10/8/2007 7:10:51 PM
they're all gonna laugh at you
10/8/2007 7:11:10 PM
10/8/2007 7:12:08 PM
then yeah, you should have no problem doing that.
10/8/2007 7:12:56 PM
10/8/2007 7:19:49 PM
friend of mine has 2 jobs and is taking 2-3 classes.... so far so good.I, on the other hand, was going to take a class this semester but my work load at my ft job increased and I didnt feel comfortable doing so.
10/8/2007 7:22:00 PM
10/8/2007 7:24:02 PM
it'll help that the class(es) will be all of 30 seconds away from one of the jobs
10/8/2007 7:24:48 PM
10/8/2007 7:25:57 PM
i worked two jobs [~30-35 hrs/week] and took 12-14 hours of [engineering] classes for the last 2 years of undergrad. it sucks, but its possible. your gpa will suffer horribly unless youre stupid smart and dont have to study...if youre taking some weak ass major then you'll be fine.
10/8/2007 7:29:35 PM
hmm, definitely can't afford to mess with the GPAnevermind
10/8/2007 7:30:31 PM
Possible but not suggested.I worked FT and went to school FT - while it payed off in the long run, I almost lost my mind. I always had more play money than my friends though & went lots of fun places.
10/8/2007 7:31:41 PM
my roomate does this. she seems to be doing ok
10/8/2007 7:43:08 PM
Depends entirely on the jobs.
10/8/2007 7:48:27 PM
I've been doing it for years now, and am still somewhat sane, and only occasionally consider suicide
10/8/2007 7:54:50 PM
think i'll see how much 1 job + 1 class affects me first
10/8/2007 8:00:37 PM
Unless it is at least 40 hours a week, it is not a job.
10/8/2007 8:29:37 PM
i do it.........and well...............one of the two is enevitable
10/8/2007 8:30:14 PM
yeah, i work 35 hours a week usually and i'm taking 15 creds of classes and teaching 2....so it's possible.
10/8/2007 8:31:50 PM
well, maybe you're just better than meit sounds insane, i think i'll gradually scale myself up to that point
10/8/2007 8:40:31 PM
work and class don't mix
10/8/2007 9:04:44 PM

I did this for the first half of this semesterI quit one because it became too muchI was miserable and I couldn't maintain a healthy relationship with my lady friend
10/8/2007 9:24:36 PM
How many hours I week is relevant, not how many jobs you have.I work 40-55 hours every week now, and I started the semester with 18 credit hours...now I'm down to twelve and things are working fine.
10/8/2007 10:12:59 PM
^ yeah, that's true as wellclasses and one job can get stressful: I think two would be a nightmare[Edited on October 8, 2007 at 10:16 PM. Reason : .]

approaching my 4 years since I graduated...thank GOD I just have a wonderful 40hr a week job.
10/8/2007 10:26:15 PM
i have a 40 hour a week job and work another 20-30 hours a week nights and weekends, and take 2 classes, and its not that bad

I used to take six classes and work about 60 hrs/week.I've cut that down to about 40 or so.I try not to dwell on exactly how much work it is, make and keep a time schedule, and remind myself that it'll pay off when I'm out of school.
10/9/2007 12:04:22 AM
what, so you can work more?
10/9/2007 12:05:08 AM
So I only have to work and be a mom. After what I do now, it'll be cake.

It sounded like he's talking about a campus joband a good many of those are warm-body jobs, which are often good for getting homework done. ...But being a TA is also a "campus job"
