Well, he only has to toss one more for that distinction. I'm just here for the tie.

Go read MMQB by Peter King on cnnsi.com and it'll give you some more insight.http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/peter_king/10/07/mmqb.week5/index.htmlFun facts about the all-time interception co-leader, George Blanda, and the man who just tied Blanda's career record of 277 interceptions:• Blanda threw 277 interceptions in 4,077 career passes. Favre has 277 interceptions in 8,433 attempts. • Blanda played in an era where the interception was a way of life in the old AFL. Imagine this: In 1962, he threw one interception per each 9.95 attempts -- 42 picks in 418 throws. In Favre's worst interception year, 2005, he threw one interception each 20.93 throws -- 29 in 607 attempts.• Blanda played in four decades (1949-75) and over six presidential administrations -- Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford -- and he was only a year from playing after a seventh president, Jimmy Carter, was elected.• Blanda's career touchdown-to-interception ratio was minus-41. Favre is now plus-146.• Blanda's career completion percentage: .477. Favre's: .612.you really cant even compare the two.
10/8/2007 10:23:51 AM
just like you cant compare to Favre to superior QBs like Joe Montana
10/8/2007 10:28:54 AM
true, this is why the top 3 are, (in no order), montana, elway, marino
10/8/2007 10:36:04 AM
You can add Favre to the list of those 3....while all 3 were great QB's, he is as good if not better than all 3 of them !!!
10/8/2007 10:40:45 AM
when Favre wins 3 more Superbowls he can politely ask Joe Montana if he's allowed to hold his nuts
10/8/2007 10:46:31 AM
anyway you try to look at it, he will be a first ballot HOF.
10/8/2007 10:52:11 AM
good for him, and he's a great QB...not the greatest ever...I just don't know who even said you could legitimately compare George Blanda to him
10/8/2007 10:57:37 AM
I agree that Montana is one if not the Greatest....it is soooo hard to compare with so many factors....I rate him up there with anyone !!
10/8/2007 11:02:16 AM
Your excessive use of exclamation points bothers me. Plz stop.thx !!!
10/8/2007 11:56:34 AM
Elway?I realize this thread is a joke, but come on.
10/8/2007 12:04:39 PM
Beck will end up with more INT's this season than Farve has in his whole career
10/8/2007 12:48:35 PM
just like you cant compare Favre Elway to superior QBs like Joe Montana Terry Bradshawwhen Favre Elway wins 3 2 more Superbowls he can politely ask Joe Montana Terry Bradshaw if he's allowed to hold his nuts
10/8/2007 1:42:28 PM
Elway was awesome before Denver got Terrell Davis
10/8/2007 1:49:26 PM
Bradshaw was awesome....uh....hmm.
10/8/2007 1:54:04 PM
I saw him play so much that I really have a good idea what type of QB he was

for a guy who so blantantly stalks my posts, i'm amazed you've never noticed my gushing over montanahe's the greatest QB ever, no doubt
10/8/2007 3:17:47 PM

10/8/2007 3:56:19 PM
no shitmost people on tww aren't lameass trolls either
10/8/2007 4:27:28 PM
you're clearly one to talk
10/8/2007 4:41:48 PM
Hey you two....don't make me stop this car I will say this - Favre has gotten where he has gotten with lower quality teams than Montana. However some say that Unitas is still the best ever, but having never seen play it is hard to compare....ofcourse there is always Broadway Joe !
10/8/2007 4:52:55 PM
Montana and Favre are both a lot better than Namath...take a peek at Joe Wooly's TD:INT ratio sometimehere i'll do it for youJoe Namath career:TD: 173INT: 220[Edited on October 8, 2007 at 4:58 PM. Reason : .]

I'm sorry....Montana - Yes.....Marino - Yes.....Elway is not as good as Favre and does not deserve to listed with the two I mentioned and Favre.
10/8/2007 9:35:02 PM
ok this gives favre another notch in my book...he's now up to 1 notchhttp://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-packers-krobinson&prov=ap&type=lgns
10/11/2007 11:36:34 AM
namath has always been overrated.he was good, but not great.
10/11/2007 11:39:35 AM
Troy Aikman has 3 rings and doesn't ever get a mention among these guys.I honestly think he is right there with at least Elway. And don't give me the he played on great teams BS.Peyton is the only QB to be even close to being as accurate of a passer as Troy was.
10/11/2007 12:00:50 PM
too bad brett favre doesnt take pain pills anymore
10/11/2007 12:25:42 PM

^To be honest I just threw his name out there for yucks.....Probably isn't in the Top 50 QB's of all time in my opinion....Also I will be standing on the sidelines in GB watching the game this coming weekend so I hope he doesn't break the INT record Sunday !![Edited on October 11, 2007 at 2:22 PM. what a fag
12/19/2007 11:58:26 AM
this may be a rhetorical question but does Favre not get the credit he deserves because he only won one superbowl? He has multiple mvps and all the records. He has almost always been the leader on a successful team. Could be argued that he simply never had the talent that Elway, Unitas, Montana and obviously bradshaw had.....too many variables to actually tell. but it just seems as if Favre is dimissed quickly and i was wondering why.P.S. Both Brady and Manning should have already been mentioned in this thread
12/19/2007 1:58:50 PM
Big man calling Favre a fag on a college msg board. He would brake you into about 40 pieces and then make you call him your daddy....
12/19/2007 1:58:52 PM
all while chewing up 4 hydrocodones and washing them down with a budweiser. ^^i do sometimes think he's overlooked and i dont really have an explanation to give myself either. Maybe it's his image..that of being tough, backyard, don't take no crap southern boy and it not really fitting what the NFL has in mind as their posterboy (ala TB and PM). Playing for GreenBay may also factor into it. They are what you can truely argue to be the last team "of the people", a very rare anomoly in the corporate sponsored world of prosports. much like a single car team in nascar with the greatest driver going pound for pound with hendrick and winning. But i mainly think its who Favre is. You can't go having him on the cover of everything and telling your kids to eat their vitamins and stay in school and practice hard when he admits that he's a drinker, dipper, troublemaker, swearer, and didn't know what a nickel defense was until he was traded to Green Bay.all that said, i love brett favre..i think he's a god[Edited on December 19, 2007 at 2:09 PM. Reason : add]
12/19/2007 2:07:13 PM
Favre isn't overlooked. He has almost all the career records already, and he'll go down as a consensus top-5 QB of all time, at least until Manning and Brady retire.
12/19/2007 2:13:53 PM
i think he means overlooked for other things. Hosting SNL, being on a Wheaties box, selling HD TVs, modelling Hanes. at least that is how i took the question.
12/19/2007 2:16:46 PM
ummmm. he's not consensus top five. He probably should be. I also think Troy is dismissed because of how good the dallas teams were. I am not suggesting he is top 5, but it's tough to build an argument that says he definitely ISN'T. I guess he just lacks longevity and therefore the overblown numbers
12/19/2007 2:19:19 PM
I'd weigh other factors more than records when determining greatest QBs. You can eventually break every record out there if you are able to play the game long enough. How many games did it take to break the record? What is their TD:INT ratio? What is their overall career rating? What is their completion percentage?Much better measure than simply looking at the numbers. Sure, you've thrown more TDs than any other QB, you just took 10 more years than the person whose record you broke to do it.
