Im looking at professors for the following classes......any suggestions are helpful:

SOC 300
SOC 301
SOC 306
SOC 401

Thanks for any comments about your best experience in these classes!!

Czaja (sp?) is boring for 300...REALLY boring. granted 300 is boring anyway.
I don't remember who I had for 301.
306 I had a grad student.
401 I had Troost--EXCELLENT!!!

Dellafave, Schwalbe, & Troost were my favorite soc professors.

McDonald is an excellent Prof, and his 300 class is tough but fair. Just don't take Woodrum for anything or you will kill yourself.

I recommend any course that Dr. Tittle instructs. He is one of the world's leading experts in the field of criminology and social deviance. It would be an injustice of its own to miss out on one of his courses if you are interested in sociology, social work, psychology or the like!

300 is best under Stiffler..easiest hands down
301 is best with 1-Shay..if you cant get her then go with Judge
306 is best with 1-Dennis or 2-Antonaccio
401--dont know anything about Fulkerson, but he has GOT TO BE BETTER than Woodrum!

You can trust my recommendations. I graduated with a BA in Soc in May 07 and am back this fall for grad school at State.

fulkerson's classes are super easy, as long as you attend regularly

instead of tests, he assigns journals, which are basically your class notes and your own opinion about the notes. as long as you do them, its a super easy A
